"It’s an old fashioned goalkeeping top, like from the glory days – so hopefully it can help bring the glory days back for us," he said.

"My father always said to me goalkeepers have to wear green. If you wear a bright colour it can attract the attention of attackers, but with green it's like I’m going undercover!

"The idea was to go back to the past and for me it’s a pleasure to wear the same colour kit as the likes of Clemence and Grobbelaar.

"It’s important for all of us to see the new kit – it’s the start of a new era. I feel very proud to be at Liverpool. It’s my seventh season here and hopefully there will be many more."

Nice kit by the way, looking forward to seeing the 2nd and 3rd

Pepes being poor lately its like he guesses where the attacker will shoot and the dives a fraction before I.E Ramires?

Top keeper regardless, thats is my only issue.

A summers rest will do Pepe good.

(He'll be on the bench at the Euro's)

One of his better attributes in the past was that he read the game well and 'guessed' where the ball would end up. Only thing is it worked well in his positioning and intercepting balls in the box. It's like he's tried to take it a step further and guess everything like a super human goalkeeper but failing. That and just clumsiness.

Pepe loves the club, he'll stay.

Looks like he should be in a sweetcorn advert <ok>

You have to remember that we got rid of the GK coach which won't have helped him.

Rumours are that we're bringing in the GK coach that Rafa brought in when he first arrived.

I think there will be a long list of transfer rumours regarding Pepe to come.

Not convinced by this he will stay. We'll have to wait and see.

If Forster moves this summer I wouldn't mind signing Reina, Tim Krul would have a reliable back up then ;)

He has been better than Reina this season.

If Reina goes i'm sure we'll make a bid!

Yeah, he's under-performed a touch this season, but given the stonking nature of his previous seasons I'll cut him some slack. ;) Top keeper. I predict he'll be as good as ever next season...

    ...maybe better!

He has underperformed it's true, but he's not alone in that is he?
Part of the general malaise to hit the team imo. I still think he's a great keeper and I don't know of anyone who's available that I'd choose over him.
Let's see how he does next year.

Yeah, no way I'd replace a keeper of his quality for a (hopefully!) one-season lapse. Besides, as you point out, who is there to replace him.

All hail King Pepe Reina (KPR) - not you Bazray! :emoticon-0102-bigsm:bandit:

Hopefully he stays as he and a fit back four is our strongest aspect.

Agreed. The best teams are built on a strong defensive foundation. Hopefully we can forge a potent attacking threat to go with it. I'm looking forward to the development of Carroll and Suarez as a dynamic duo. If Carroll can stay off the ale - and the pies! - and keeps up his current momentum, I feel they could form a useful little unit.

I am a firm believer if he cut his hair consitancy would go up by 20%.

Looking forward to next year to put a few things from this year right.

We got laughed at a bit this year - time to man up and fight back.

Yeah that's an interesting point about Carroll's hair - a sort of reverse Samson thing. I had a friend with long hair and he couldn't score either! I insisted he cut it off, persistently. Eventually he did ... and got laid that night. ;)

TBF he did look a complete tw*t!

Yep - he's engaged, too. I'm supposed to be his best man next year. Maybe I'll recount that story and suggest that if he ever wants out of wedlock he can always grow another ponytail. ;)
