I'm not bothered about gay marriage, but what is a bit weird is when you get a lesbian couple and they're both butch. Or when you get 2 camp gay blokes together. Surely there's some sort of system? Also, why do the butch lezzas often dress like scally lads from 1994?
It's only far right religious nut bags who oppose gay marriage and I don't think there are too many of them on here. Well, maybe Fan.
I don't get why politicians make it such a big priority over issues most voters actually care about We've got high unemployment, a large debt, a ridiculous gap between a few filthy rich people and everyone else, social unrest, health reform, voter apathy and Europe to name but a few yet they're all of little interest to gay marriage
this whole gay marriage malarky is just a ruse to get people arguing about shoite. It distracts from the real issues. The truth is marrriage was an institution that allowed for certain 'rights' and to a degree responsibilities. The responsibilities have virtually died out, and sadly to the detriment of society. Make no mistake having no 'father figures' has impacted on society and has led to no natural father figure training amongst young men The rights that married couples had have been given to people in civil partnerships. add to this the secularisation of society and the decreased input of religion into peoples life and teh question isnt should gays be allowed to marry but whats the point of marriage? This whole debacle is all about creating friction with church, nothing more nothing less Its like womens lib. Its fine wanting equality in pay, how about equality in going down the coal mines? or equality in playing 5 sets of tennis for the same pay, or equality in same amount of time of for paternity leave Like all equality this is now pushing for the sake of pushing (no pun intended)
but do you think that gay men should refrain from gay sex until after they are married, rather than use condoms, to prevent HIV?
Paddy Pendes is gay but he should allowed to be happy. Let the dear old ****s marry, that's what I say. DUP Says it's 'abominable' <Paul Berry>
Thats true to a degree IG. I know some excellent examples of men who are unmarried but are great fathers and some married dads who are twats IMHO though these are exceptions to the rules rather than the norm. As in all situations there are exceptions. However I do think a lot of young men growing up today have never had the 'father figure' in their lives and will not know how to be one
