Cash Converters Facebook page just said we are after him from Brentford. Just been released as they couldn't agree contract terms, came through their youth ranks in 2006. Thought it was quite weird considering we have no manager but thought I'd post it.
Go on then, I'll get it in first.
I was wondering if Wigley would be drawing up a list of possible players for any new manager to look at and give him a head start in his recruitment
would love to know how this works then.... isnt it the manager who names players he would like to the board and the board then decide if they can afford etc and try to make it happen.... so who exactly has decided that our next manager will want this Osborne guy ?
6' 2" so that would make him one of our tallest players if we signed him but like most people I am puzzled as to who is identifying these players.
I dont quite get all the confusion on this. If we are genuinley after him then its fairly obvious that the new manager has already been identified, is requesting players and simply hasnt been announced as he legally cant be while Nick appeals.
its as John said, it'll be the agent trying to shop his player around to get the best deal for himself. cant see us being interested.
Unless he was identified by Nick before he went. Or the story is bollocks made up by his agent. Or Ehab thought he was a girl and was getting him for the cheerleaders team?
How weird, I signed for my Hull City career mode at the start of my first season as backup for Chester and Hobbs
Yes that would be quite amazing. If we were really looking at players without a manager to pick them it would be exactly that. Why would we sign someone only for the manager to say he doesn't feature in his plans? Equally why would the player sign for us if there was a chance that in the couple of weeks circumstancs could change dramatically in terms of his status, role in the team, etc. I think it'll be the agent as someone has suggested above.
Football scouts. Think all clubs employ them. They generally look out for football talent and recommend good players to clubs. If there's any truth in this rumour then he'd have been watched last season.
In January Reading nearly signed him as part as there push for promotion but he failed a medical because he had an injury
