To be honest, i didn't expect you to play so well and finish so high this season and was one of those people saying the bubble would burst, but that stopped in January when you continued to play well and your players showed that they are actually class.

How are the finances at NUFC these days and can you hold on/add anything to your squad next season?, if so then i think you will be in a similar position next year pushing for Europe.

Our finances are fine and dandyo hedgeworth, Mike Ashley sunk £140 interest free loan into the club to stop us paying interest to creditors so that is still there and I'm assuming is being paid back. Our account for last season showed the club as running at a loss of around £3.5 million which compared to most clubs is brilliant and moving in the right direction.

As for players, I'm of the opinion that if we get a huge offer in for a player (most likely Tiote) we'll take that to reinvest into 3 or 4 new players and look to hang on to the rest.

Reading reports from management and players there seems to be a real togetherness and close knit group of players and with us having European football you'd like to think all this will make a strong case for keeping onto the top players.

I'm not blinkered enough to think nobody will go, but hopefully it's more of the fringe/dead wood players who are going.

It does piss me off that we are labeled as a selling club, yes we sold Carroll for £35million but any club would have taken that, Enrique went but that's cause he spat his dummy out and wanted to leave but we got £6million for a player we paid £6 million for so not really lost anything.
As for Nolan and Barton it's proven that though they were a positive effect on the pitch would appear they were a negative in the dressing room. So was right to move them on.

The club has made it clear that IF were are to sell players it's on our terms and our price, we are in a position where we don't need to sell.

I thought it had since come out that we actually made a 32m profit last year?

You could probably have the theme of this thread all to yourself given the number of bone headed comments you've made. Still smarting from Tiote getting one over Sessegnon? let it go, you'll feel better for it.

We made an operating loss of £3m. We made an overall profit of £32m on all activities. The £35 m for Carrol is the difference between the two figures.

This year, I expect we will have made a small operating profit. How we do on plauyer transfers we'll have to wait and see.

However, I will concur with you Sessengon was naive. Tiote had three cowardly kicks at him from behind there were 4 newcastle players trying to dispossess him at the time (and sess is not a great player, he is just ok and hit and miss). He should have just said fcking hell 4 of ya and ya still can't get it from me.

In fairness he did properly split Tiote's head properly open was a nasty cut, as for Sessignon he played the situation. As for cowardly kicks there was plenty of that from both sides in that match.

Agreed but better to have a bit of fight about them than what they were under Bruce.

67 mins Tiote goes off on a stretcher for precautionary checks on head/neck/facial injuries. 95 mins Tiote is back on the bench, complete with stitches, cheering with everyone else as Cissé scores a wonder goal.

Most stupid comment was definitely a Liverpool fan at work saying that we've signed "French pansies who won't be able to handle the tough premier league and will go missing when it gets cold and wet". Tit.

I don't know know enough about finance to really comment, but to me we made a 32m profit. It would the overall profit that would be the actual situation? As I say my finance knowledge is limited so maybe I'm misunderstanding something there.

You haven't stated any facts there really though have you. Tiote accidently caught Mikel with a stray arm which caused no real damage. Mikel then took it upon himself to act like a complete thug and look for misplaced vengence. Indeed bringing up that situation only really adds to thinking that Tiote is a very hard man. Afterall he wanted to keep playing, and made himself available for the following game. Do you enjoy shooting yourself in the foot?

Get over the Sessegnon being a chumparooney incident. You'll be much happier.

Tiote is a beast, its just the way it is.

I don’t suppose anyone knows where we would be in Lawro’s table had all his predictions been correct?

I think someone posted awhile back now about how we would be something like joint bottom with Wolves in Lawro’s World ......
