Dempsey's out apparently. 6061's taking his time this week. Hope everything's all right with him, otherwise me and Notso will have to draw straws for the match thread
that'll explain why no one suggested him then. couldnt remember if he was injured, or whether it's because he's been frozen out so badly, no one bothered to mention him as they knew he wouldn't be playing anyway!
Big loss for Fulham, plus they've got some vultures circling Dembele in the media. On the downside, Xavi's missing for West Brom... er, I mean Chris Brunt. He's had his tonsils out, so that he can be fully fit in case he's picked for the GB Olympic team. Couldn't wait a couple of days, no?
Yes, Roo, that's exactly what I meant. Sorry - didn't make it clear! But my reasons were exactly as you say. A team player. 100% effort if selected in any position.
You've sold me. Keep the team the same except ask Livermore to play LB. He'll be desperate to impress, he'll work hard, and he'll let the rest of the team and the formation stay unchanged. Though if Dempsey isn't playing I could see Gallas at LB and King at CB.
So hope King doesn't play, if he does we're liable to drop points. I'd be happy with Jake at LB, Fulham don't have much of a goal threat, so we should cope with him alongside Gallas and Kaboul. IF Parker is out though, maybe Bale at LB and Jake as a CM. I don't really mind any of the reasonable permutations as long as King is sat resting in the stands, which is what he needs to be doing.
I don't think Harry is adventurous enough to play wing-backs - so I am expecting to see Bale at LB and Modric on the left and cutting in, hopefully dragging the Fulham RB in to enable Bale to exploit the wide open spaces as much as Rose being suspended has left us a headache I feel its a blessing in disguise as apart from his wonder-goal against the mob from down the road he has done little to suggest he deserves to play at any time since
