Samba Diakite appears to be losing his battle to be fit for QPR’s crucial clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

And Rangers are facing a possible midfield crisis for the big game, as Akos Buzsaky and Shaun Derry are both doubts.

Buzsaky is nursing a hamstring problem, while Derry missed training on Friday because of a thigh strain.

Diakite’s continued absence would be a big blow for Rangers ahead of a match they know they need to avoid in if they are to be sure of Premier League survival.

The Mali international is still feeling the effect of a recent virus and has not been able to train fully this week.

Its going to be Traore or SWP if those 3 are out, we havent got anyone else and it forces us into a 442.

    Team will have to be:

    --------Cisse---Zamora-------

    Tarrabt - Traore - Barton - Mackie

    Taiwo - Hill - Ferdinand - Onuha

    ---------Kenny----------

    Or if more defensive:

    -----------------Cisse----------------

    -----Tarrabt - Traore - Barton – Mackie-------

    Taiwo - Hill - Ferdinand – Onuha - Young---

    -----------------Kenny----------

I reckon it's all a bluff to lull City into a false sense of security.

Gets my vote - he didn't mind trying to go shoulder to shoulder (or is it should to waist) with Huth and he'll run and run so we won't be left wondering.

That on the Offish on Diakite looks like it is a copy / paste from last Friday! He'll have been stuffing down the marmite on hot buttered toast and be raring to go Sunday.

I still call bullsh*t. Derry will be fine. If it comes to it give him an injection. It's last game of season so plenty of time to recover. i dont even think that will be necessary. Remember him and Barton being on Goals on Sunday earlier in the season and he said he would often skip a training session or two in order to rest.

To be honest I dont think Buz has the mentality for big games so I would rather do without him.

Would never play Mackie in centre though. He would give the ball away too often.

Yeah Mackie could never play in the middle up against Silva and Toure!

Huth kept him pretty under wraps last weekend.

I hope you're right mate. Diakite would be a big miss.

Yeah Samba is a massive miss. I'm hoping thats a bluff as well. He's been ill long enough but DJ was on a sicky even longer. Either our players need to sort out their personal hygiene or we need a new cleaner down the training ground.

If it's the case I'd consider moving Onuoha in front of the back four and bring Young back in.
