Not seen it but it's only got 47% on Rotten Tomatoes which means it probably a bit shite. But it's got Eva Green in it, so some consolation there I suppose.
I was going to go and see it tonight, I've been a fan of Burton's work up til now, but decided to give it a bodyswerve, nearly all the critics have panned it as tired old comedy and nothing whatsoever different from Burton and Depp's previous collusion's. Not much good out just now if you have already seen the Avengers. American Pie was bearable for the nostalgia.
My wife went for our anniversary <glamour> Throw in some tapas afterwards, book one of the couches at the Grosvenor and she'll go
Where did you go for the tapas? Cafe Andeluz is a favourite at the moment, although I recently tried La Vita Spuntini for something different and it was pretty good!
Pretty good Trev. Can't beat being able to have a wee drink in the cinema! (Since I am now too old to smuggle in a bottle of something)
The Grosvenor is brilliant - the decor is still all 70s but you can drink in it The screen isn't as good as the big multiplex ones but the seats are comfier <leather> or you can book a mini-sofa which is good if you're going with a bird - you can take a bottle of wine or a couple of pints in with you (pricey, mind) and it's in Ashton Lane which women seem to like. I went to the Andaluz in the west end. Been to the George Sq one a few times - it's not actually authentic - they're owned by Italians but everytime I've been the grub has been top notch. Tip: try the pork cheek and the butifenegra/chorizo(sp) stew stuff, take a couple of plates of tapas then top up with a combo of a meat platter with the chilli marmalade goat's cheese
Alternatively, you can come round to mine for beans on toast and a bottle of lager from Lidl for fifteen quid each and save some dosh. Sorted.
Adeluz is fkin immense, I should have shares in there as I've spent that much cash there. It's decent prise-wise too, and the house red is simply divine <st>
Trev. Get her telt. She gets to drink wine on a nice wee couch whilst your watching the film and a romantic quality nosh up afterwards. The only thing is she has to watch the Avengers (emphasis the good looking dude that plays Thor is in it). Guaranteed wet baws by the end of the evening
Don't talk to me about cars. It's going in for an MOT on Tuesday. I fully expect it to fail as it's been making hellish noises since the surgeon I've been seeing was tinkering under my bonnet.
