    this was very difficult. i've plumped for russell martin because of his never say die attitude and his flexibility when called upon. his reading of the game has got even better and he has shown such commitment wherever he's been asked to play, not to mention all those goal line clearances! so overall i've gone for 1) holt; 2) ruddy; 3) martin <ok>

    There's no doubt Holt and Ruddy will be first and second, with R Martin edging it over Pilkington for third.

    Sadly lots of people think wingers need to just be good attacking and neglect the defensive side of the position hence him been an unsung hero. I would say defensively he is as good as any in this division just needs a little bit more attacking and he has been improving massively throughout the season.

    Bennetts defensive support of either Naughton or R Martin has been phenonamel this season this and the way he stepped in a right back against Bolton was brilliant.
