Thanks H. I am looking forward to being able to sleep and not worry about a deadline for a little while. Come Monday I intend to be completely chilled.

Well done Dan and good luck whatever the future may bring.

Off on my hols. demain. First stop Nimes then down to the Med.

Guess I will be chilled out to, but could be difficult. The temperature here hit 31C this afternoon. <cool>

Still a shady bar and a swimming pool should deal with the heat. I might pop in from time to time to see how you all are.;)

Morning all from a fairly bright West West London - although a few clouds looming on the horizon.
Lots of planes in the sky this morning, especially over Heathrow - all this panic in the news about having to wait a long time to get through customs, well I for one don't care. So, if you are a citizen it takes 20 minutes to get through, so what? and if you are not, well there you go. Try queuing up at US customs for an hour only to find you have made a tiny mistake on the Visa Waiver form and be sent to the back again - or landing at SFX at the same time a 747's from Japan, China, Taiwan and Singapore and taking 3 hours to get through..
Busy day, but leaving early to have a few early beers with a mate and then a ruby with Mrs W_Y and daughter who is back home after working this week!

...or try landing at Seoul and being harried, abused and treated like an imbecile because you can't read or speak Korean, then somehow find yourself wandering aimlessly around the airport for three hours looking for help. :emoticon-0111-blush

Cold, wet and windy up here this morning - but on the positive side at least it's not snowing. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Morning all, lovely sunny morning here, brings a bit of cheer to the day.

W_Y glad you & Norway enjoyed yesterdays debate I know I did and I'm sure Leo/Lenny did also, but as he said you can come across wrongly agressive sometimes on a PC without realising it. Still here's to the next time. Enjoy your Ruby don't forget to wash it down with a couple of pints.

On a travel front. My best was not being allowed out of Jakarta Airport many years back because I had lost a slip of paper which had my exit visa on it..... They wanted dosh off me to get out and I went ballistic.... " I am a guest of your government etc etc " <doh> In the end I made so much noise they let me go after threatening to blacklist me..... mmm... I nearly blew that one

    Morning all

These days the less time I spend in airports the better. I can remember fighting to get on a plane in Indonesia and having to bribe Russian customs officers to let me bring relatively modest presents back to the UK.

Loved the Harry Pearson article...whatever your world view the Guardian still employs some quality writers...
