When we're pretty much garunteed safety, do you think Nile Ranger should start every game? He's done everything right. He's shown strength, pace, stamina, links up well with the team, frightens defenses. All he needs is a goal out of anything. Even if it's a 2 yard tap in, or a deflected shot, he just needs a goal to boost his confidence infront of goal. He was unlucky against Bolton, as it was a crackin header but he was just caught half a yard offside. I personally think Ranger should start along side Best or infront of Nolan for the rest of the season after we've achieved safety. Not necessarily absolutely mathematically safe, but when it's pretty much obvious. lol, but i wouldn't expect anyone from our team to score from there to be honest. He was under pressure from the goal keeper and a defender. It's not as if it was a clear open goal.
Didnt expect him to score, but it would have been some goal from that distance! I think Ameobi and Lover will continue to start, especially having each got a goal and assist yesterday. When we are mathematically safe we'll see more of Ranger and Ferguson (and hopefully Vuckic) as there is no real risk but the season shouldnt fizzle out, we will have to play the strongest team available every game while giving the prospects more game time.
Definitely think he deserves a start...I think the end of the season (providing we're safe) will be about blooding in youngsters and the current injured lot!
I'd be very disappointed if Ranger doesn't get a full 90 minutes at some point this season. If he doesn't, when will he get a chance?
Nothing spectacular, defended solidly and made a good saving tackle on Ebanks-Blake at one point. I was impressed with him, he seemed confident in his ability!
Think he should start yeah, give him a few games starting see what he can do. Doubt he'll get a chance otherwise, what with Shola not being too sure with his mask and Besty currently out. You're line up takes Ben Arfa into account though and not Ireland? More likely of Ireland getting a game in before Ben Arfa to be honest.
