She started the trend of the branch of celebrity "being famous for being a slag". I know she was an actress, but she did start the celebrity slut movement.

It's just his attempt at the superior intelligence ploy. If he was that smart he would realise that the most intelligent thing to do would be either to push off permanently, or manage to make a point without rubbing people up the wrong way.
