Well had to draw your attention somehow..

Asamoah Gyan insists that he is not wanted back at Sunderland and that he loved his time in England.

The Ghana international made a shock move on the eve of the current season's kick-off when he joined Al Ain on a season-long loan.

Gyan revealed earlier this week he was in talks with Al Ain, but now insists that he is only doing so because Sunderland do not want him to return.

The striker was bought by Steve Bruce, but since his loan move Martin O'Neill has taken charge at the Stadium of Light.

"My agent called me about the interview. They said I didn't want to go back to Sunderland and I don't like it there," he told The National.

"The team was good for me. I love the fans and I love the club. They bought me for £13 million and they did a lot for my career.

"When I left there the fans were very good to me. I didn't have any negative feelings towards anybody. In football you need to move sometimes."

When asked if he would like to return to Sunderland, Gyan insisted: "For now I am at Al Ain. I'm still here and happy to be here. But I would be happy to play anywhere I go."

Gyan insists he had no issues with Sunderland at all, adding: "I didn't really say that. I left Sunderland in peace. I had no problem with anybody.

"When Al Ain made an offer, they accepted it and I had to move. I had no choice but to move.

"I had no trouble with anybody at Sunderland but that is life in football."

The real shame of it is that i reckon he'd have thrived under oneill and banged in a good 15 goals this year. Wed have probs be dealing with a huge bid for him this summer from "the top teams"

he had no choice but to move?? doubtful. he's a lying little ****, and if we look back at that espn report a few days back, he's on £190k a week in the desert. that's why he moved.

Something does not make sense with all of this:

Do you think he was causing trouble in the ranks asking for more money and talking to other clubs so Bruce and Short decided to send him off to somewhere unknown where they could re-coup the maximum amount of money.

I have a feeling Gyan is not a MON type player which is why he wont be coming back.
