Shut our borders to non British people remove all illegal immigrants speed up asylum decisions (either way) and, pull out of the ridiculous human rights crap that only seems to benefit the wrong doers and not the innocents it was designed to protect, or at least rethink it so it does what it is meant to do. That will free up a few quid, and houses so we can build more houses for British people hence more jobs for British people and more money to spend in the shops ergo the economy grows.
Stop legal aid to people who can afford it, Nationalise the utilities companies as they seem to be making a helluva profit these days again more money into the country the economy grows.
This country is more concerned with every other twats rights over their own people, we give billions in aid to countries who don't like us (Argentina £24m for what?) India one of the fastest growing economies on the planet, £10billion recently to shore up the euro for other countires. Stop this and sort our country out first then we can help everyone else.

The Arab spring, forget the inns and outs of it all its the unrest and death.

The people are getting dictators out, to do that here will be death and suffering.

Iraq and Afghanistan, how many died and are dying.

As above but the west is helping.

    Iran and Korea.

Time will tell, but seems like its more bark than bite atm

Greece, France and Italy where the people are fighting back through the ballot box but seem to be going to a more extreme form of government.

Is that not the beauty/problem with democracy, its what we all want (Arab spring etc), but a bit scary if it slaps you in the face.

The world in debt with no obvious answer.

Cant really comment, it will sort itself out though.

In our country we hear of kids being killed, old people being attacked, knives, gangs, mass unemployment, many without hope, families falling apart.

Whats changed in the last 40 years?

Politics, love them or hate them there was a time when we respected them, how can we now. It started with expenses and just keeps on going with our leaders seeming more interested in image and sound bites than us.

again whats changed in the last 40+ years?

Leverston and what started with one or two bad journalists became a news paper, then a news group, The police then became part of the problem rather than the solution then politicians became embroiled in it all. One very big you scratch my back lets look after each other and **** the public system.

Personally, I dont care, sorry but i really dont give a ****e.

We had terrorists called the IRA, you may not agree with them or their methods but at least they had a cause you could understand, apart from wanting to kill us what is the cause of today's terrorists?

Hmm, same reason really, Al Qaeda want the Americans out of the Middle East and to stop interfering in that part of the world, and they are attacking all those in the USA`s pocket as well.

Bottom line is, nothing has changed in 40+ years, so I dont really see what there is to be scared about, as it wont change in the next 40+ either.

So who gets the cash instead, the owners who are already rich as anything.

They only get paid that much as the cash is there to pay them that much, TV/Advertising money etc etc.

The players do the work, they are the ones that win matches and entertain us.

I dont disagree they could bring the prices down, but the players will get the same, think we get about £18mil a year on tickets, even Quinn said if we filled the stadium it would only bring in an extra 2 million or so, its about the atmosphere, not the cash.

My point is, the players will still get paid bucket loads, just because the cash is there to pay them that. (for the bigger CL clubs anyway)

    Agreed 100% !

Millions in aid to foreign countries like Argentina who are sabre rattling against us, India - a nuclear power; and the EU to shore up a politically motivated currency whose implementation was flawed from the outset !

When are we going to put the welfare and livlihood of Britons FIRST, LAST AND FOREMOST ?!!!

As said elsewhere, nothing really changes but does that make it acceptable ?!!

Global problems effect Britain and all other countries.

Unless you plan to isolate Britain completely, which is impossible as around 70% of food consumed is from EU and other countries (Britain does not have the land mass needed to produce the amount of food the current population consumes), then the British economy and welfare relies on global interests as much as any other country. Britain cant just ignore global issues, shut the eyes and hope for the best.

The reason EU is not in Britains interest at the moment is that the half-hearted, half in half out approach has seeded all influence to mainly Germany and partly France.

Britain cannot survive with an Island mentality, so getting involved and influencing EU/global politics towards Britains favour (or at least all countries are affected equally) is the only real long term solution. (all IMHO of course)
