Call me stupid if you want but a fit Bullard would make all the difference to us in midfield, he is the only player on our books who can open up a game and give us that creative spark we are missing, yes i know he is on extorniate wages but if he helps us to the Premiership it will be money well spent.
I agree entirely, I heard a few comments like this in the crowd today, best one was "We've got the two best midfielders in the league, problem is neither of them play for us", I can't really disagree. If any of the Bullard doubters needed further proof he's needed then today was it.
problem is cos of bad man managment re bullard his heart isnt in it when last few games he played for us.
Name one game this season and at the end of last season that he wanted to be here? Name one game he put his whole heart into the game? Name one game he even played well? It is not him, a few games ago we was playing well without him, the main difference is the midfield did not seem up for it today and we massively miss Stewart.
He was man of the match in almost every game he played for us last season as well as premiership player of the month in November, too say he didn't play well is wrong. His heart wasn't in it but he was / is a quality midfielder
Its never going to happen and i dont want him back. I agree we miss stewart and today we really missed Rosenior there was nothing at all down our right and i was surprised how badly Chester played at full back he seemed knackerd!
id say a 50% interested bullard would stil bring more then the current midfield, he never gave the ball away in any game he played, always looks to go forward etc, he was played in some crazy -just in front of the back 4 role when he was selected, as soon as he moves to a club playing in his natural role, he bangs in 4 -20 yarders.... its never going to happen, but i sure wouldnt grumble if it did
I agree, not gonna happen, but would definitley see an immediate change with him in the midfield. Having said that i agree with pearsons flat top, losing stewart has been a massive blow. biggest attacking threat when he is on the pitch
Tony, there's this thing called money. It makes the world go round. City haven't got enough to play those players, so to save it, they let them go to other clubs who can afford to. Oh, and the two midfielders in question - Bullard and Olofinjana I presume - don't want to be here. Either of them. As the Yanks say, 'go figure'.
Bullard does not want to come back, he likes it down South. The club does not want him back, they like him down South. The only things Bullard liked about being up here were Browny, the money, and The Weir Bar. Why be here when he has another sycophant manager, still the money, and plenty of places down South, better than The Weir, to get pissed in?
Jimmy won't play for us again, he doesn't want to and the club don't want him to, he's history, there's just the formality of the summer move to sort. There's no doubt that we need another midfield player to replace him though.
I can definitely say we won't see Jimmy in a Hull shirt again for the reason OLM has already stated. Bringing him back would be a big gamble, is it one we should take you ask? Maybe. We're definitely lacking creativity in the middle and if Nigel is still interested in a play-off push Jimmy could possibly really help us excel again if he put his heart into it.
It looks like Danns is a target from Palace, maybe Akpan will also join if he impresses on trial and the other will probably be players like Chester and Stewart, players we'd never heard of.
No more word on Greening? I remember his name coming up a few times before. Was that just wishful thinking? Danns would be a very good acquisition IMO.
We tried to get Danns in January and Palace would have none of it, he's out of contract in the summer and refused to sign a new contract with them, I suspect he's already on his way to us and it will be a great addition.
