A man hated by his own fans, has done things his own way eventually and is now reaping the rewards. Football people for too long have had this attitude that their way is the only way.

If you own a business and want to adopt business practices that are alien to football but the norm and successful in standard industry then so be it.

I back the allams to stick two fingers up to the history of the business of football and do things their own way.

Geordies have died down since they started to win and so will the City fans.

I'm gutted for Barmby and Pearson, but the Allams did save the club.

Sacking Barmby is a bad decision.

If it turns out that we appoint a manager who gets us promoted and wins the FA Cup, then it is a good outcome, but it doesn't negate the original bad decision.

You could miss the bus because you stayed in bed for too long. If in the time that you had to wait for a later bus, you pass the time by buying a lottery ticket and that lottery ticket wins, it doesn't make sleeping in and missing the bus a good thing.

I don't hate the allams. The bad thing is the way it's all happened not that it has happened. It could end up being a great decision, time will tell.

They haven't done things right but who knows what the future holds. Just a shame that Nicks 8 years with us came to an end like that.

No, it would be the luckiest thing you ever did. It would only be the best thing if before you did it you knew that if you missed the bus you'd buy the winning lottery ticket.

Yes, but it doesn't make missing the bus a good thing.

If you heard the story, you wouldn't advise others to sleep in and miss the bus.

Surely missing the bus is a great thing if you win the lottery because of it

A few weeks ago everyone bar the odd minority was very worried about losing AP and no one even dared to suggest we should lose NB, I don't get what has changed.

The Allams have gone on a power trip and started sacking everyone all over a debate about finances which was worrying enough in itself without anyone being sacked over it, they're showing that despite what they like to tell us, they're just like other interfering foreign football owners who know better than everyone else despite having only watched the game for a year.

I can't believe so many people are supporting them over this. There are many other instances of bizarre decisions by them (I only know about one or two, and there are said to be several more) I can't see other good managers wanting to come and work for them just to be sacked after 6 months for something so silly and pointless, and I can't see the players wanting to stay here and play for an unstable club with a new manager every year. Yet just because they come out and accuse everyone people of lying (people who can't respond and who we have far more reason to trust than them) everyone just buys it straight away.

Mike Ashley is a **** as well. Newcastle fans are obviousy going to calm down over a year after Hughton's sacking, but I bet if anyone asked them they'd still say it was shocking to treat him like that, and that's exactly what it was.

Football club owners should do their bit in the background without needing to be the centre of attention, they should let the experts make the decisions and let the manager pick his own players, when owners hire and fire at will and interfere with team affairs it's never for the best for the team.
