Play-offs are a lottery. The team that finishes 6th has the chance to do what they couldn't in the season and finish above the 3rd, 4th and 5th and win a place in the higher league.

I would much prefer a different way to do it. Bottom two of the higher league to be relegated the same. Top two of the lower league, promoted the same. Then have a play-off between the two teams above the relegated teams, and the two teams below the promoted teams. Winners can meet at Wembley to decide who goes up.

 

I love the playoffs. Because it gives the teams down to seventh the chance off going up it means the season is competitive down to the very last weekend. Without this system some seasons the promotion race would be over with weeks to go! Also the lottery may not be nice but is damn exciting to watch!!

 

Yeah i think a Play offs between the 2 teams above the relegated teams would be brilliant, amazing atmosphere it would be that whoever loses goes down.
