...but he stuck with us when the chips were down, and he always put in 100% and beyond... Dirk Kuyt is now a legend IMO. And I will miss him if he goes in the summer. As for Maxi, never got a look in. That makes me cross! OOPS! Negative alert!

You do surprise me. Do I go straight to jail or may I collect £200 if I pass Go? I need something to live on while I'm being bummed in Positivity Prison.
Dirk Kuyt has been a good servant for us, I really would not go as far as calling him a legend though. I would only list Gerrard, Hyypia, Alonso and Carragher as legends from the last 10 years. The rest have just been very good players (Mascherano, Finnan, Reina, Arbeloa, Lucas etc). Some like Reina could break into that group of four but it won't be until they have another good 5 year spell at the club.
Dudek should be included if not simply for his amazing performance in the CL final.Shame he went so soon afterwards...
Kuyt deserves legend status for his hattrick against utd alone, not to mention his scouse alphabet. If he's not a hall of fame contender then he's certainly a contender for the alternative hall of fame along with Biscan
Last night him and Maxi were giving the farewell wave to the Anfield crowd. As Maxi was subbed it was clear he was on the verge of leaving
Thanks, I missed that. I'm not surprised, I've been expecting this for months, it's just that it was talked about as though it were a done deal. I know Maxi wants to go home. As for Dirk, well I don't see him as an impact sub and I think he's got a bit more running in him yet, so I reckon he'll look for somewhere where he's still guaranteed a starting place. I'd like him to stay for at least another season, but for his sake if he wants to go then he does so with my blessing. For a foreigner, he's shown a dedication and commitment to the team that a lot of English players could learn from.
"I need something to live on while I'm being bummed in Positivity Prison." Got to take what you can get at your age Wishi, love.
Not sure I'd call Alonso a legend...not here long enough and didn't produce until later on. Dirk is deffinitely a Kop icon though for the amount of passion he had for LFC and the effort he put into every game regardless of the result. Maxi was underused, but scored some vital goals in his time. Will miss them both, hope our replacements are both up to scratch! De Jong would be perfect for taking Kuyt's spot.
Deffo Kuyt, always gives 100% commitment and never jumped ship when things went pearshaped after Rafa left. Torres has proven since the day he left that he only cared about himself.
