Yeah but I've not suffered the indignity of playing for Liverpool. I would need to be compensated a hell of a lot more than he was.
Really?,strange thing to say on your behalf after we've agreed already that hes got a medal nobody from the Toon has ever managed to attain. From Supermac to Shearer the shame of wearing those barcode like stripes must be unbearable. But we've helped a few of your players to achieve career success by bringing them to our fine club down the years,McDermott,Kennedy,Beardsley,Venison and Carroll So thank us for our benevolence.
Yes he is. Henderson is capable of putting a very good ball in the box. With more experience and wise coaching Henderson could become a top player.
Dude you cant judge a player on medals! Their are a bunch of greek players with European Championship medals floating around but nobody considers them decent.
Man utd have some of the most decorated playing in the modern game in their squad over the years but you are saying the medals make them greats?? Carrick?? Evans?? Fletcher?? Anderson?? Both Nevilles?? Nicky Butt??? lol
Right now or of the respected era?? Cabeye ----> Carrick Coloccini ----> Evans Tiote ----> Fletcher/Anderson David Batty ----> Nicky Butt Enrique ----> Nevillles
If Arfas logic is correct the Toon players you mention should have been more successful than the the mancs he mentioned. Daft argument really because a Toon player is only successful when he leaves the .com for a brighter future elsewhere(usually Liverpool).
Sir Alex builds teams and sometimes the best players don't always fit into those teams. For every Gash player though Fergie had a diamond.
Ok,this kind of logic suggests that Gerrard,Carra,Alonso,Mascherano etc where unlucky to not win a prem title medal because of the likes of Traore. I await your change of stance on the subject.
If Gerrard had left for Chelsea when he had the chance (and as an England fan I think he should have) he could have had a bag full by now.
Really?,so that would mean every player at Chelsea at the time from then until now would have won more medals because of Steven Gerrard? If so that doesn't say a lot about their players between then and now.
Same with Shearer, he is a geordie Legend but should he have joined Man Utd at the time and become one of the best strikers ever?? I'm not thinking in terms of medals but more in terms of player development.
Like I said, as an England fan we would have had Lampard and Gerrard playing side by side at club level which would have been great for the national team.
