Shows Morison's views on the criticism. Pleased for him he scored and as he said will hopefully shut a few up. May not be the best player in the world but 9 goals in first prem season is not bad and for the most part he has done well

Dave and Maestro, I suggest merging this with the 'Morison appreciation thread' as I bought this up on that thread.

Sorry Maestro, forgot about you, feel a bit embarassed. <sorry>

Yeah sorry about that mate, I had a quick look to add it to that one but was in a rush and couldn't find it at the time.

There are some of our fans that need that putting in their place

I'm not talking about the guys on here that voiced critisism or discussed areas he needed to improve. I'm talking about the people that make up baseless accusations about him, the people that booed him as he came onto the pitch, the guy that went into a drunken rant at him in the players lounge.

It's not an overwhelming minority at our club that have this attitude problem thankfully, but they do need putting in their place.

Well done moro, get it together and lets push on.

Absolutley correct, the total rubbish spouted from some people is a disgrace. I swear the only reason they go to a football match is to vent their spleen and see us win. They don't care about how we play, they want long balls up the pitch and getting the ball in the box at the first available opportunity.SHHHOOOOOOT when the player is about 35 yards out, whining because the defenders are passing it between themselves for all of 10 seconds, complaining because a player isn't fast enough. Gets well and truly up my nose.

They are total morons and should be banned. You shouldn't ever boo until a change in management is needed.

"I couldn't care less if I am the worst player in the team if I score plenty of goals. You want to score goals that pick up points, and [on Saturday] I managed that. "

He should care if he is the worst player in team, because it's when he doesn't score goals he offers nothing, which is when all his troubles with the fans started.
I have no issue with people not liking him, I just don't think they dislike him for the right reasons. I have to say, I think Lambert should take some of the blame here because Morison can't play up front on his own, he's not got the key skills to bring others into the game.

He knows that these moaners don't know what they're talking about and he just forgets about it and gets on with his job.[/QUOTE]

    <cheers>

I wonder how much it has effected his game. It has clearly got to him a bit as he has come out with these comments. He does seem a bit of a confidence player. As Beefy says a bit of criticism is ok but some fans have crossed the line. Booing a player who has 9 goals and does his best seems a bit harsh.

It shows, not that it needed proof, that he is only human.

You gave him stick for **** performances, a bad/disinterested attitude and not scoring goals. He then gets a single goal and thinks that's everyone should worship him.

Sounds like the sulky Morison we had here is the exact same moaner you have there.

If he dropped the attitude he would find the fans would back him a lot more, considering he was playing low league football just a few seasons ago and now earning premiershit wages you would think the **** would be grateful instead of a sulky ****!

The point is that some of the criticism was in founded, he was playing with an injury, rumours made up about his private life and some fans were booing him onto the pitch which is unacceptable. One goal doesn't change him as a player but it shows he is working for the team.
