I know where you're coming from Jonny. All I'm saying is that before Bates came along, I believed (and still believe) that agents are the scum of the earth, sucking life-blood from football. In the Bates vs agents ding-dongs, I just don't know who to believe. To put it in perspective, I hate agents more than referees, and if you had to hear me spouting at the football, you'd know how much I hate referees!

Does anyone seriously believe that a mid-table French side like Saint Etienne would pay £1.3m to Max each year for four years (ie a £5m deal)? Come on, get real people, please. If anyone should be asked for their source, it should be those claiming Gradel is on £25k a week. That is a top Prem salary, and players come to the EPL from France precisely because they do not get those salaries in France!
Has Howson ever stated that he didn't want to go, why he left, what contract he wanted etc, surely he could have spilled the beans once he had signed for Norwich?
