Erm, it wasn't the CPS who brought Harry to court, it was the HRMC. There's a huge difference.

I would suggest we take this matter no further, as this one will go nowhere.

I didn't know that either. I don't know why some supporters get so involved, all i want is to watch the football and see us successful. Maybe I shouldn't have commented on a subject about which I know nothing.

Am I right in saying that Harry has only got 1 year left on his contract with us and that he failed to sign an improved contract back in Febuary this year, when it all looked so Rosey. And am I also right in thinking that the new contract came with the assurance of some money to spend on players.

Didn't Levy retract the same contract towards the end of March maybe early April amongst the slump.

If I'm correct and the above are all facts, then they would indicates that, even Levy has his doubts.
If Levy is going to get rid of Harry, it will be done this year. I'm pretty sure of that.
But I'm still not sure if getting rid of Harry is the best thing to do for the club.

Surely HMRC must have legal advisors? What were they doing? I'm not a lawyer, but I was told by a friend, who is, that any half way competent legal expert could have told them that the case was a non- starter.

HMRC have a habit of targeting the wrong people - for example, they keep harassing me as my annual return usually comes up to £0.00, yet Vodafone owe £6bn but don;t get chased up anywhere near as vigorously.

The HMRC have lost many cases due to their bungling, just google those words!...no not bungling! :) The person who's decision to risk costs of millions to recover an alleged 40k, wants shooting in front of his family as Clarkson would say.

I looked into the whole Redknapp court case quite a lot when it was reaching boiling point and I still think that the whole thing was only pursued because of the amount that was spent on the investigation.
The evidence against him was so flimsy and the amount that would've been recovered was far, far less than that already wasted looking into it.

HMRC just needed to save some face by making it look like they were doing something, in my opinion.
Total waste of time and money.

Clever. Sometimes I drop lyrics into everyday conversations but people either don't spot it or think I'm a bit weird if they do.
