Only Mad Mick would be an improvement for me - his post match interviews would never be dull either!

No he's not and, if you removed your blinkers, you'd see it.

I think Brownie would be the best choice, we need somebody with a club connection, he will put right the wrongs I'm sure and maybe his funny ways will cheer people up, lets face it Nicky and Pearson could be miserable sods at the best of times!

I would rather have Brown back than some of the other names mentioned.

I honestly cant believe so many people would want Browny back... his ego was TOO big for us. he attracted so much attention and ridicule it was impossible for anyone to take him seriously.

taking away his massive ego... he was not that good of a manager. naughty step anyone ? come on..

we need a serious manager with experience IF we really do want to aim for promotion next season. someone like NP but not as dull, personality-wise & tactically.

everyone is talking about managers who are currently unemployed... why ? Leicester bought flat top from us and his contract couldnt have cost them that much... we still should have that money in the bank by the way..

I hope the Allams do their research, approach someone who is ambitious with experience and who actually wants the job.

i think he would have learnt from his mistakes Hullborn, and he did save us from the drop aswell as take us up, before the ego issues and so on. You see some of the names mentioned like Lee Clark, I just would rather have Brownie back who as been there and done that, maybe he can prove himself again.

But remember the Allams want value for money so I would think we will get the cheapest option whoever that may be, IF it costs them a bit more they will have the perfect excuse to come out and say the transfer kitty is not big because of it. After all their statements and posturing they had better deliver and deliver fast. (yes I know they put xxxx millions in the club but that does not mean I have to like them or agree with them)

Greg Abbot, i championed him long before Burnsy jumped on his bandwagon, he is a highly talented manager who is friends with Warren Joyce he has worked with Chester, Evans and Dudgeon before. He has built a very good side at Carlisle, and he helped bring through the likes of Gary Madine, and his Carlisle side play good football.

    Perfect choice.

While I don't find the though of Greg Abbot overwhelmingly good, he is infinitely more acceptable than Lee Clark! Why does anyone think Lee Clark would be any good? He had 2 half decent seasons with a team that he should have got promoted, had no plan B, was lost without Jordan Rhodes & if you speak to any Huddersfield fan they were glad when they got rid. Any of the names mentioned on these boards are preferable to LC IMHO.

Deano tweeted that he would like to work alongside whoever the next manager was, my god can you imagine him being able to keep his thoughts to himself, there is a recipe for disaster.

If one more person mentions Phil Brown as a potential new manager, I will personally come knocking on your door and headbutt you and kill your cat. STOP LIVING IN THE ****ING PAST. He fluked it, had some good fortune and then showed how out of depth he was for the job before rightfully being sacked (far too late in the season mind you) and going to do **** all good at a lower league club. Oh and he did all that while making the club a laughing stock to everyone else in football with his man city crap, pink shirt and fake tan interviews and his Negredo bull****.
    We need to move FORWARD...

PS: same goes with players, stop mentioning mouyokolo or turner. **** SAKE

PS II: Really hope TWF bites at this and mentions him so I we can hash things out.

    e

PLease explain to me what connections he has?

    Bartlett gone
    Duffen gone
    Adam gone
    Barmby gone
Most of his remaining players will be gone soon (oli, mchsane, garcia, ghilas)

Either way, you can keep dreaming, doubt the Allams even know who he is and they may be rough at times but they ain't that stupid.

Love the bloke, but given he's just recovering from a suicide attempt I don't think it's the best thing for him.

I never thought Id say this, I'm really not one for going back, but I wouldn't be that upset by Brownie returning.

I'm quite sure he's read and heard all the comments about him, and I would hope his time at PNE has made him a little more humble. You know he loves us, he DOES try his best, and tbh if we can forgive Nick episodes like the whole of March, and no plan B and costing us a place in the playoffs/an auto...why not Brownie?

Plus of course, we could say in years time when hes managing England, hey, he was our best manager!

Oh and Deano on the coaching staff? Working with the strikers? Yes, actually that would make me happy too.

Given that the Allams have spent huge sums of money repairing the dreadful financial legacy left by Bartlett, Duffen and Brown, it's almost inconceivable that they would countenance bringing Phil Brown back to the club.

Clearly the Allams would benefit from winning over the clubs fanbase, I doubt if it will be done by installing a popular manager just for the sake of popularity. I think what is needed is a manager who can retain our good players and who has the ability to put together a good, well motivated squad for next season.

Dunno who they will choose, but I'll eat my hat if it's Brownie!

    UTT!
