PGF! On our day we are a match for anyone even though we are still building. West Ham played us off the park over two legs for three reasons. 1. We were up against the Championship club who have spent more than any other all season. 2. They had a far bigger quality squad and were favourites to go up automatic. 3. We played then in games 56 and 57 of a very long campaign. Interesting that we beat them earlier in the season. I am as happy as Larry with this seasons campaign overall. Certain players now need to move on and replacements are needed to strengthen. We over achieved this season with basically a brand new outfit but only a fool would now write us off next season.
"On our day we are a match for anyone..." Well, that applies to EVERY CLUB,ANYWHERE,so nothing special there, then. 1. Whatever happened to the zillions that your investors were going to provide? Reading and Southampton were also "up against" them,or perhaps you hadn't noticed. 2. I cannot comment on their "far bigger quality squad",but who's fault was that? "Favourites" don't always come in first. Swansea City were "favourites" to come last this season, but that didn't work out either. 3. "We played...in a very long campaign". No different to anyone else,at the end of the day. "Interesting that we beat them earlier in the season". Not really,it was a good result at the time, but got you nowhere in the long term. I think Cardiff flattered to deceive for much of the season, and were fortunate to actually make the play offs. So,you probably did "over achieve". It's a bit early to "write"anyone "off next season". Who knows what players you will have at your disposal. One thing for sure,The Championship will be as difficult as ever to get out of,in an upward direction,of course. Every cloud has a silver though,so don't despair. Swansea City F.C. will be in The Premier League next season,so you can sate yourself by watching them on Match of the Day.
VETCH! If you think I am watching MOTD just for the last 30 seconds before Gary say's goodnight you are way off the mark fella.
Aussie! Put your time to better use and keep searching for that evidence you seem to have difficulty finding about me saying I hate the swans. You really shouldn't make things up you know. Jackash! You may close my successful thread now if you like. Been great chatting.
Just before you close this thread Ash, one small message for our little bluetarts.................... please log in to view this image See you same time next season, for more of the same!.............
Ok Vetch, we don't want to make them look to good, correct score it is!................ please log in to view this image Been a great footy season, with the best comedy act going to the Bluetarts............
Or even toilet paper. A set of three wouldn't go amiss, aye,Reading last season, and Preston the one before. Collectors items in boot sales up The Valleys.
Tea towels, door mats,or even toilet paper. What about a full set of three,to include Preston, and Reading? Guaranteed big sales up The Valleys.
I've lost count, is it three or four Play-offs, I was told it was three, with Preston beating them 6-1 to deny them a fourth, one year! You got to give them credit though, it takes some doing to be this consistant...............
I've lost count,as well. Bet they haven't though. Wasn't it 6-0 to Preston? Don't sell them short now.
Where's I Think I Will Remain A Numpty gone? Checking the mirror to see if the colour red suits him? REDBIIIIIRDS!
