If we dont get CL football - he CANT stay. He has said hinself on national TV that he would step aside if he could not deliver to the 'high' expectations of the club. Anything other that CL football means a complete change of direction - without Wenger and of course the likes of RVP and Walcott (and any top player we were hoping to sign). The sad thing is, his brilliant start to his Arsenal career will always be mentioned in the same breath as the fact he would have taken us back into obscurity in the second half of his reign.
I'm a fan - but for ages he's been poor. Give the guy a match off- and hope he starts next season better.
There is no redemption for Ramsey this year - no matter what he does at the weekend. When Norwich were leading 2-1 at the start of the second half and one of their players broke from midfield, Ramsey chased him for 10 yards then visibly gave up. It led to a good chance which could of finished us off. It was a good summary to his season. It was a moment I will not forget in a hurry. Ramsey had no humble pie to dish out.
Of course there is. What a silly thing to say. If he scores the winner and secures Champions League football, you'd be an idiot not to recognise the impact it would make.
He's been awful all season - for 1 day he would ge some credit. But it certainly would not be him that got us CL football, even if he scored the winner on Sunday. Last I checked it takes more than 3 points to finish 3rd. Not only has Ramsey been awful this year - he has shown a complete lack of effort on several occassions. Nothing that happens over the weekend is going to elevate his seaosn to anything other than poor. Next season, if he manages to stay in the squad, he has a long way to go to prove he is worthy to wear the shirt.
Wow I thought a total of 3 points in a season would get relegated. Silly me. Still in your fantasy world it might be third I suppose. As for Ramsey - watch this and try and defend it.
We're talking about the WBA game, this is the prediction thread - one game, 3pts and we're 3rd. And we get it Jayram, you don't like Ramsey. But please desist from polluting every thread with your hatred for him, it's getting tiresome.
I take it you cant defend it then . Also the Ramsey point was raised by someone else as part of the thinking in their prediction. I am just correctly pointing out that having a good game on the last day of the season will not be the reason we finish 3rd if we do. There were 37 other games this season you know where we picked up 67 points.
Going for a classic 1-0 to the Arsenal Jack Same here, I think it's going to be a really tight game. But one thing is for sure, there's no way the players have given up on 3rd.
