Mate, that's an awful scene you create there. Sounds nasty. Did your mate have to sort them out then, or did they just decide it wasn't worth it? The last thing I wanna be doing on a night out is worrying about some scumbag trying to lay one on me. I'm a lover, not a fighter, and hate to have to bring my sizeable guns to the table to resolve someone's 'beef'. Pissing in the sink too...how uncouth. I expect better. Prinny Ave used to be pretty decent (for the price of a pint it ****ing should be) but it's just peppered with the usual scrotes and supertan girls. Maybe your experience was worse as it was a bank holiday? I feel better about not going now.

Party. There was no need for violence. Just a quick word and it was all sorted. They obviously hadn't seen who I was with and soon back peddled when a few pleasantries were exchanged. I just can't be arse with any of that malarkey anymore. Fifteen years ago and the outcome would have been different but I'm way too old for any of that monkey business these days. That's why I prefer a quiet pint in a boozer where I can sit down.
