http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-first-move-for-Fulham-ace-Clint-Dempsey.html We are 'in' for Dempsey according to the sun. For the right price, I think he would be a very good addition to the squad. 23 goals for Fulham this season. Unreal.
This is a bad move in my view - he's a lower level standard player that doesnt exactly state our intention to get back to challenging for the title.
He has in the final two years of his contract, though. The price is the key here if the stories are indeed true. I am not saying, we should go for him as our first target and make it priority to get him. Ask around and if the price is decent, then it would not be a bad move.
He'd be a reliable squad player, something we lack. I wouldn't pay more than 8 million for him though, if we got Poldi for 11, then Dempsey has to be far cheaper.
. I am not sure we could any 3 players combined worse than Chamakh, Bendtner and Park.... Maybe in the Spurs squad.
For me Dempsey is not the standard of player we should be after, that said you can't knock 23 goals in the Premier League and RVP, Poldolski, Demsey, reads a lot better than RVP, Chamakh, Park
Bendtner hasn't been bad anytime I've watched him for Sunderland. He provides utility even when he isn't scoring. I would much rather have him as a sub than the ones we have now.
Agreed. He always worked hard for Arsenal too. He was a bit above his station, not really the great player he thought he was, but he scored some crucial goals for us in the past. I'd take him back.
Frustrating player, he offered a lot of promise, but just didn't live up to expectation. That said, he would still make a good impact sub.
There are some rumours going around on Twitter about a possible deal for Yann M'vila... not sure how much of it is just hearsay though.
It's was being discussed in this thread. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/142959-Why-I-DONT-rate-Koscielney/page7
he (Nicklas) would certainly give us all an ironic laugh if he came on after about 80 mins with us needing a win.
hearing rumours on twitter that a player will be announced shortly (days probably) after the West brom game. Eriksen, M'Vila and Vertonghen have all been mentioned.
If M'Vila is true then it does seem that Wenger has finally learned a valuable lesson and is doing his business early. Good sign. It's amazing how quickly business can be done when you try hard enough.
what we don't want now is for all of our new signings to get injured in the Euros... now that would be typical of our luck
