Until the last 3 years, Spurs had not finished in the top 6 three seasons in a row since the 1960s.

There you go. I think with recent events, we have started to forget that these are bloody good times to be a Spurs fan. Who knows, we could still finish 3rd. And a win at home to Fulham (a decent last fixture to have) would guarantee 4th.

  4. So, that makes all the mistakes that Redknap has made all right, does it?

We were making great progress before Redknap came along, and it was only the fact that Levy made the mistake of sacking Jol and bringing in a manager who refused to speak English that set us back. What has pissed a lot of fans off is the fact that Redknap took credit for our gaining a CL spot when it was always on the cards, but he isn't taking any blame for the losing so much ground, so easily, on Arsenal. We should have been contending for the title this season, instead, we could find ourselves finishing 6th. And even whilst I have never believed that we would actually win the title, the fact is that we should not be scraping for 4th spot.

Redknap has taken us backwards, in the second half of this season, and put a massive question-mark against his ability to take us forward.

Anyone who can't even spell our managers name properly and mis-spells his name 4 times in one article, deserves to be ignored imo. What a load of crap you do talk.

To the OP. I think a lot of what we're seeing is frustration however, we were so close to having an astonishing season and I don't think it's unnatural disappointment and anger with the way members of the staff, be it players or coaches, have performed over this very poor run. It might always be right to single out individuals or could even be the wrong individuals at times but I don't think it equates to not appreciating that this season has still been a good one and importantly shown some really great promise for us if we can keep the team together.

A few tempers seem to be boiling over here. What it comes down to is we're all a bit frustrated with our recent inconsistent form. If we get 4th and Chelsea win the CL final, I will look back at this season as the one that got away. It's a big IF but IF Capello was still in his job now, I do wonder where we'd be in the league.

In typical Spurs fashion, we had the opportunity presented to us today and we blew it. However, the league table doesn't lie but as the original poster states, it hasn't been this good for many years so we should get behind the team and look to a bright future. It just riles us more because the other mob from Woolwich may just pip us to 3rd which over the course of the season, shouldn't have been allowed to happen.

Cut it out you two. Without intending to be patronising, it's possible to disagree without the petty insults and sniping at eachother and if you feel some one is being out of order just PM a mod and we'll deal with it, rather than rising to it.

Whilst I'm here I'll remind you all, posts that are out and out abuse will always get deleted no matter who it is.

Of course. You have to give me a bit of time at the moment because I just got back from a stag do in Sheffield so I'm not in condition to do anything quickly :(

To avoid sending this article further off topic could any further issues about moderation be taken up in PM or settled in the Bill Nicholson Arms car park <ok>

  13. Why was post deleted?

Original Spurcat is the same twat who was on the original BBC 606, and he wound quite a few people up over there, making himself out to be some special insider Spurs big whiz. He used that ploy on numerous occasions to try to bully posters against whom he took a disliking, and most of them told him where to sling his hook. If anyone here thinks I am going to allow him to slag me off simply because he doesn't like my opinion, then you really don't know me.

YV, I sincerely hope that you are not going to abuse your position as mod to censor my retorts to that idiot, because you and I will quickly fall out, and I really don't want that.

  14. To the mods:-

So, it's okay for him to say this, but not okay to me to retaliate by telling him he's a dick head?

I suggest that if he wants to avoid being called out as a dick head, he keeps these sorts of comments to himself. If he doesn't like me expressing my opinion, he can put me on his ignore list.

Lads! You're all respected posters, petty insults just make yourselves look bad! If you disagree with someone's opinion, tell them - but respectfully with points to back up your side. If you have a real problem just PM the poster in question/ one of the Mods and see if it can be sorted out. Otherwise, Not606 will just turn into an equivalent of Ja, with no real discussion - just aimless insults flying around.

    HIAG

Your post was personal abuse. Calling someone a dickhead and saying someone's talking crap are not similar. Neither was necesarry but we try to be lenient here and I don't enjoy deleting posts or having to talk about it so I keep things simple; personal abuse, spam and wumming are deleted, anything else you will be warned about or asked refrain from first but in my opinion the first 3 are so obvious that they don't require it.

As far as I'm concerned both you and Spurcat are good users here and I value both your inputs on Spurs and wider football which is what I'd rather we all stuck to.

In future I will only discuss moderating decisions via PM(copy Spurf and PNP in) or in the Bill Nick if you really want to do it in public. I feel it's disrespectful to the OP who has taken the time to create a thread for discussion, only for it to be derailed so if you have any further queries take it up in either of those places.

Come on now guys, I don't care what you guys think about eachother, show some respect SL and everyone else and lets bury this now and get back to discussing Spurs.

Edit: I'm trying to watch Homeland now so I'll be dealing with stuff slowly. Feel free to PM me if you think I've missed anything

  19. Canary, that's all well and dandy, but let's not forget who came looking for this particular fight.

I wouldn't dream of responding to any Spurs fan's opinion with what that idiot said; and if I did, I'd fully expect to be rounded on my fellow posters.

Well, where is my back up?

Or does everyone here think it's okay to write off what another forum member writes by telling them "what a load of crap you do talk"?

He thought it big to make that statement openly to everyone, and then runs off squealing like a bitch because I called him a dick head.

Do you think I would have called him a dick head if he hadn't made that comment about me?

Find any other occasion when I have called another Spurs fan a dick head. You won't, because this is the first time someone has taken it upon themselves to write off the opinions I express on this board.

I am all for keeping things clean, but I will not be made a mug of, not by anyone.
