With the imminent departure of Ray Lew, are the Club looking to replace him with Lee Clark ? Possibly because of his connection between us and Sunderland he is given a special spot in today's programme, but it makes you wonder - http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/April/ClarkMatchPreview.aspx He was certainly doing a decent job at Huddersfield before he was rather suprisingly dismissed and I can see him fitting in well. What a wonderful backroom, with Lee, Billy, Kit and Danny joining them part time to learn his trade. Anyway, here is as a reminder of why Lee was one of our favourites - http://www.soccerclips.net/videos/manchester-united-0-1-fulham-lee-clark
He should never of been sacked by Huddersfield! I would be happy to see him back, don't think that it would happen.
Yeah I would very much welcome him back but I would think he has aspirations to be a manager not an assistant at a big club.
This would be an amazing addition to the Fulham family, he was loved as a player and would be more than welcomed back.
You're right - Clark's sacking is right up there with Chelsea getting rid of Ancelotti as far as bad decisions go. And it's made absolutely no difference to Huddersfield's season whatsoever. They were 4th when Clark was sacked and they've finished 4th, although they may still go up via the play-offs. I'm sure he'll be back in the game before long. It would be great to see him at Fulham in some capacity but I think a job managing in the Championship or League One is more likely.
But Surly, however it may pain us to admit it, we're not as big a club as Chelsea. The one club he might agree to go to as an assistant is his beloved Newcastle, I just don't see him coming back here as anything other than manager (and that not for a few years, if at all). I could see him going to Wolves though, or even Villa if they feel like trying a bright young manager to replace their dour, established, dull one. West Brom could do worse for replacing Roy.
Fair points, Captain. But neither are Huddersfield as big a club as West Brom. I don't believe that Clark would come here to coach. Just saying that there is an existing example that it could happen.
Went down to the MP training ground this morning, yes the coaches had them out. Asked one of the officials if he thought lee Clarke could be joining the coaching staff. His opinion was doubtful, more like he said that Fulham have been running the rule over Huddersfield, c/f,and wanted more in depth analysis and who better than Lee.
Cheers rosc. Good to hear that they weren't having a day off. Presumably the c/f was Jordan Rhodes - but weren't they looking for £10-12m for him? He's obviously got talent but it's beyond me why Clubs are pricing 'home' players so highly at the moment. Okay it's only press/agent valuations but £7m for Doyle, £3m for West Brom's Cox ???
