Uefa have told City and Chelsea they will be banned.

Alasdair Bell, UEFA’s director of legal affairs said:

‘Sanctions need to be sufficiently effective and credible to make people abide by the rules. If we’re not capable of enforcing the system, in a way in which makes Financial Fair Play a reality, then we might as well forget it.

 

He can say all that he wants, it's only chin music. UEFA is, as it has always been, is a political organisation. Should UEFA try and play hardball with any big club then they will risk a reference of the whole system to the EU Commission. It's not just City or Chelsea who may take such action. I think that the reference may well come from France.

So they will talk tough now and then find accommodations.

Yeh....except the EU stated that they will not allow clubs to use their legal systems to fight FFP.

So, they going to try US courts? Wont work, Middle east courts? FAIL

What legal action can clubs take if the governing football body and the governing body in Europe says you cant exploit the rules?

EU say FFP rules fair and should be followed.
