All been speculated before, this is the Irish version.''Sunderland striker Stephane Sessegnon would snub any interest from Tottenham to stay at the Stadium of Light. Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will have to strengthen his frontline over the summer as first choice striker Emmanuel Adabayor looks likely to be heading back to Manchester City after his loan spell. Sessegnon appeared to fit the bill following reports that he was homesick but, even though his wife and five children have returned to Paris to live, the Benin international says he is happy and is not ready to move away from Wearside just yet. "I've got no problem with life here and it's always good news to hear that the manager wants to keep you," said Sessegnon, who cost £6m when he joined from PSG in January last year. "I'm aware of the speculation, but I can't do anything about it. As I've said before, I don't feel that my work here is finished. "It's true that when I first came here, it was hard to get used to the style of play. But now I like the Premier League and I think I have improved. "I'm playing for a team who like to play football, with great fans." http://www.setanta.com/ie/Articles/2012/05/05/Striker-move-in-doubt/gnid-141126/
Bill, by all accounts Sess has already spoken to Sunderland and expressed his wish to stay. He has apparantly spoken to the French Press and stated that he will make a further a attempt to bring his family over.
he is still around MBK just on anouther forum.... i might be able to get a confermation for him at some point
If spurs offered £20m I'd take it no problem. not the popular view I grant but its one I am happy to support. Sess is a good player but he isnt a fantastic player imo and with £20m, we could buy TWO decent strikers and still have money for a winger and a left full back from the summer budget. Sess aint all that and not worth £20m imo. He drifts in and out of games to easily imo and isnt either exceptional as a central midfielder, a winger or a striker.
