I would say something about finding the positives, but I'm sure you still have me on ignore.

Not going to lie watching your game was ****ing painful and kept refreshing the page on the BBC and then was brave enough to watch the stream for the final 20 mins or so. I thought it was Villa that had a man sent off. Both the NL teams have been somewhat pathetic in this final run in. We are both not going to progress if this mentality does not change, sadly.

    I'm with you on that.

Multiple times this season, we've both had the chance to finish things off yet neither have.

What's interesting is the lack of banter between Arsenal and Spurs fans the last few weeks. I guess everyone's waiting to next Sunday evening as none of us have any confidence in our teams to get over the line!

They were shamefully poor after the sending off.
It's unfortunate that they probably won't be relegated, as they ****ing deserve it.

    Some match stats:

    Shots: Villa 4 Spurs 21
On target: Villa 2 Spurs 10

Why on earth didn't Harry bring on Defoe for VDV in the last 15 minutes? Instead he brings on Parker for VDV! If we won, top 4 finish is virtually guaranteed. <doh>

  8. Listen, I was prepared to give Harry a chance, and I did, but he has completely and utterly ****ed it up for me. This was his chance to help us push on, but either by fault of misguided pride or incompetence - or probably a combination of the two - he has failed. If it had not been for the mad Russian making a colossal ****-up in employing AVB - something that most of us foresaw would be a disaster - we'd now be clinging onto 5th for our lives.

    From Harry:

"Danny is not a nasty tackler, he's a good player, a good little footballer. I didn't know whether [Charles] N'Zogbia pushed him into the challenge. I'll have to look at it again.

"We dominated the second half but we couldn't get the second goal. It's all to play for next week there are so many permutations.

"If we'd won today we'd have taken Newcastle and Chelsea out of the equation so we wanted three points but you can't always have what's ideal.

"Once you go down to 10, five minutes into the second half, you'll take a point all day long. I thought we put a real shift in I couldn't have asked for any more."

    --------------------------------------

What he says is true about going down to 10.

I just don't rate Rose as a LB at all.

And once again, it's the 'we just couldn't get a goal' speech - you left Defoe on the bench so yeah...good job with that.

  10. Not saying Harry was right by any means , but what might have influenced him was that he did something similar against the Chavs in the semi-final and it back-fired horribly.

Despite what he Says, bringing Parker on, instead of Defoe, was a sure sign that he was more concerned with protecting one point, than gaining two more

Just looked at Danny Rose's twitter (pretty sure it's his):

    ------------------------
    1. So so sorry about today ... There was a slight nudge before the challenge but doesn't justify it at all. Wouldn't intentionally do that as

    2. Hutton is a friend !!! To the few people who have tweeted support thanks a lot ! To those of my own fans who tweeted abuse thanks as well !!
    ------------------------

Good to see him take responsibility <ok>

A shame he didn't think of that before going in on Hutton.

It was clear that the shove on him was responsible for what happened to Hutton and therefore it was never a red card

I wouldn't rule out Chelsea winning both of their games yet.

Wash your mouth out. A sneaky goalless draw would be ok though

If we won, top 4 finish would have been absolutely 100% guaranteed, and would have left 3rd in our own hands!

Yep, unless Chelsea win both their games, in which case they'd finish 3rd, we'd finish 4th.

However, in one of many twists, in that scenario, 4th WOULD guarantee is CL football even if Chelsea win the CL final, because obviously Chelsea are already in the CL places anyway.

But THEN, if Newcastle win at Goodison, we'd finish 5th, Newcastle 4th, Chelsea 3rd, and Arsenal 6th!
