Imaz is our resident revolutionary firebrand, and long may he continue. I am building a list of 'fascist' clubs around Europe thanks to his posts. I used to be in the same zone, but age, money and cynicism have corrupted me. Good on you Imaz, keep it going. I agree on the republicanism ( don't have the energy to do anything about it of course), but don't think northerners really boo the anthem.

Unfortunately we are at present in a situation of 'Golpe strisciante' (literally a slithering coup) and few seem to realise the symptoms. 15,000 troops on the streets, strike planes and attack helicopters in the air, armed FBI agents walking the streets, the missiles on blocks of flats, guards with assault rifles on the tube and much, much more... F*ck that, I'm leaving for Europe when the Olympics are on. Have a really bad feeling something really wrong is going to happen, if al-Qaeda doesn't cause a massacre the Intelligence Services certainly will.
Did you see they've parked some kind of helicopter attack ship on the Thames to fly snipers to high buildings? ****ing terrifying. I'll have to look up the dates to flee as well. Sebastian Coe's niece goes to my daughters school. Amazingly she has tickets for the 100 meters final. No corruption there then. She'll be watching it with 60,000 Olympics officials, media and corporate guests. Fiasco.
I sometimes think the term 'Intelligence Services' is an oxymoron. I've booked to go on a cruise at the end of July so I'll leave it to our 'leaders' to f*ck Londoner's lives up for three weeks...
