I have the perfect avoidance saying: "they teach you the mechanics in biology at school, but they don't teach you about the emotions involved. As everyone has slightly different degrees of each emotion, there's not much I can tell you about that either"

Well i was completely innocent until year 6 when we had the sex ed lessons. I remember being sat in the "big hall" with the other yr6's and watching a video for an hour, we did that for a couple of weeks. After the video we would be split boys and girls and went back to a classroom for Q+A. Then we did more in yr7. I remember the teacher bringing in a box of tampons and a 2 test tubes, she then demonstrated how they worked, but shattered the test tube in the process.

Morning all...nine years to the day since Mrs H and I first met, so I'm about to get going in the kitchen. I shall be serving up a late lunch of Chicken Tarragon Blanquette followed by a Tarte Tatin and accompanied by Chablis and a half bottle of Sauternes. An idle afternoon then beckons...

I assumed this should have been "prawn ring"?

Morning all from a chilly grey bandit country - typical bank holiday weather I suppose! Busy day ahead, I have a new light to assemble and put up, Mrs W_Y final assignment to proof read and some work to catch up on!

Very surprised at the lack of noise coming from the scousers - early days I expect!

If I cry, do I get to sit on your knee? ;)

Sex Ed in Scotland starts in Year 1 :(

The Govt introduced that a couple of years ago, but all parents with school kids below Year 6 (the normal level for it) had to sign a permission slip before their kids were allowed into the lessons.

I've never known so many signed slips to be returned so promptly. <laugh>
