    I'm not sure that offering an explanation would prove justification! I agree with you, however, that some things are taken too seriously but aren't we all guilty of that on occasion, depending on mood and/or if the 'right' buttons are pressed at the 'wrong' time?

    Half my family is irish. My dad's side is strongly scottish catholics.
