And Shezza has been way more than solid and reliable
He had a terrible game by his standards
Don't know what GK you have been watching

  2. Going into thsi game Norwich were on a run of 2 wins 2 draws and 7 losses.

They had lost their last 3 games by a combined score of 11-1.

Just wanted to put into context how bad we were today and how much we completely bottled it.

Really think that the way the game was going, if Szczesny had saved that really poor shot we would have gone on to win it comfortably.

probably, but he isn't the reason we lost. don't just blame him, who has been one of our most consistent performers this season, in small AND big games. blame the midfield and defence. or the team as a whole rather

Drudeboy, if that was Almunia there'd be 20 threads right now in the front page about his performance.

I can safely say that is one of the worst performances by a an Arsenal goalkeeper in years.

1st goal. No comment. Possibly the worst conceded goal by an EPL keeper this season.

2nd goal. Unfortunate, but why is he ****ing so far out? The guy wasn't even close to the box and Szcz was about 9-10 meters out. Why? he does this all the ****ing time.

3rd goal. That is a save-able shot. nothing clever in it to wrong-foot a keeper. Really straightforward, not even that accurate shot.

That was a really, really bad performance. Just because it comes from a hyped about guy doesn't change it.

  7. 1st goal was a bad one.

    2nd got a deflection - unlucky

3rd was deadly accurate and unsaveable

2nd. Deflection -> unlucky. Szczesny's positioning? not the first time, he's done it all season. It's something that Wenger has to urgently point out to him. The Norwich guy wasn't even close to the 25-30 meters away from goal, why was he so far out? If he had sane positioning he would be in a position to catch that ball.

3rd the ball literally passed a few inches from his hand, he didn't move... was 'half' side-footed or whatever, but that was something most top-class keepers would save.
Right footers rarely attempt those in the far corner as the swerve of the ball favors the keeper. That it ended so close to the post is irrelevant.

Didn't say that... But they weren't much different than some of the games we won. The goalkeeping did make a difference today.

  11. We didnt lose today vecause of Szczesny

We lost today because we lacked effort and organisation throughout the whole team.
