Away to west brom is never easy. They will be relaxed and we will be tense and poor. Add to that the fact we dont have sagna or arteta and I think it will be hard. We have got 3 points from our last 12. Which is remarkable, and that is vs teams in the bottom half and chelsea reserves (3 home games).

Is anyone confident about next weekends result? We have only won 8 of our 18 away games this year.

i think we can beat them. wenger will drill into the players the importance of not underestimating them and getting a win. but if newcastle and spurs win tomorrow, i can see us throwing it away and they will give up

It's a shame he didn't drill that into them against Norwich.

    No, scratch that.

It's a shame he didn't drill that into them against Wigan...

    No, scratch that.

It's a shame he hasn't drilled that into them EVERY single game.

We got there in the end. <ok>

Some Gooners certainly know how to do Doom. Not sure they're good for much else though.

I'll hold back thanks <ok> I'm sure some would benefit from your suggestion though.

  9. Its funny how the optimists actually think we are favourites against West Brom. We are underdogs - we have no heart and are playing away against a team who wil come at us. Our chances of winning that game are slight.

I'm just stating my opinion, I think some Gooners do doom and gloom better than most.

  14. This is true - other Gooners do blind faith better than most and never take off their rose tinted specs <ok>

I said we'd get 4-6 points from the last 2 games and I'm sticking to it.

Today was just one of those games, I don't think it has much to do with the pressure. We've certainly had a few of those earlier in the season.

Disappointing that their goals came from non-chances though.

Today specifically? Really bad goalkeeping is what makes it different from our other loses.

There were games where our opponents created more and better chances before this game and we won. If with the same midfield/attack performance the result would end 3/1 most here would praise this game as a solid performance.

Really, goal 1 and 3 were really soft. And goal 2 while unfortunate still showed our keeper's get-out-of-goal-everytime fetish. Even that was save-able if he maintained a "sane" position.

If this was Almunia or Fabianski every thread would be about them.

Our fate is now out of our hands. We will have to rely on the broken reed that is Aston Villa tomorrow against Sp*rs. If by some miracle they manage to get a positive result against our arch rivals, I will feel a lot more comfortable. I think Newcastle will lose or draw with Man City (prays).
If and only if the above happens, the damage this weekend will be somewhat mitigated. Our season hopes really will depend on the game with WBA, which we will have Walcott back for, btw.
