Anyone got any good suggestions for types of whiskey to try?

I'm trying to get into Whiskey

A lot of people seem to like Jack Daniels...

All I've been able to try is Famous Grouse.

I'm not quite able to full appreciate the taste of Whiskey yet. It's still hard for me to swallow, but I'm starting to taste it a bit more, after like the 20th attempt rofl.

We'll have to start a special Drinking Thread for you Tash, you've done nothing but talk about booze since you took it up. It's still a football forum believe it or not.

I'm just enjoying my booze and trying different things. I'm not an alcoholic.

I'll come and tip you out of bed when your head's swimming and you wish you were dead.

I've only ever had one hangover, and I took a good lesson from it. I don't drink that much mate. Just 2-3 every few nights or so.

    I know when to stop.

My advice is to find out if you like blend or single malt. Blend is things like Bells, FG etc. Single Malt is generally more expensive, but some find it much better. Things like Bowmore, Glenfiddich, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Talisker are SM.

They'll probably be Jameson drinkers then. Can't go far wrong with that one.

I'll second that. Tash, you don't have to "get into" whiskey. It's quite evil if it gets hold of you. Still to VHF's.

Don't drink Videos anymore? You must have been plastered in the first place to try and drink a video.
