The best defender in the premier league?

there are many great defenders in our league but for me the best one is without a doubt Nemanja Vidić, he is the best defender, Second best i have to say it Kompany but the best is Vidic.

Vidic is the no nonsence defender, he keeps our defense strong, he can take on any player in the world, he even make beautiful tackles against Messi in the 2011 champions league final.

he is also a danger from set pieces because he can score goals.

when he play he won't let the defense be open, thats another reason why we miss him.

Can't wait to see our captain play again for us.

At moment probably Kompany.

 

thats because Vidic is out injured, when on fit and form it has to be Vidic

 

Vidic is amazing but I think he peaked a couple of years back. Kompany is better imo. He is quicker mainly.

Also injuries hurt players and it becomes harder to come back from injuries as you get to 29+

 

thats a typical comment from you, i knew when i saw your name your going to disagree, typical, Vidic is better then Kompany, im sure he'll come back next season and be the same player he was before he got injury. Vidic is IMO the best defender in the league when fit.

Last season he was amazing, we won the league because of him.

This season we missed him big time.

Knowing him, Vidic is strong, he's a strong character, he'll be back to his best when he comes back.

he is a no nonsence defender and experienced, he's a know how, he'll control the defense. When he plays he doesn't also makes sure he's in the right place at the right time he'll also make sure the other's too. Plus we miss his and Rio's partnership, them both know each other's play, they have the best defensive partnership in the premier league.

But yeah Konpany is amazing defender, city's defense are rubbish without him.

 

Kompany. Vidic is good, but Kompany for me.

 

nonsence, Vidic over Kompany anyday, the thing which makes people think he's better then Vidic is that Vidic has been out for the season and Kompany has been the best defender in the league this season, thats what makes people start forgetting about Vidic, come next season when Vidic is back fully fit, then everybody will know who's the better defender.

Vidic is the best defender on the league when fit, thats a fact

Kompany at this moment and thats purely because the Army is on leave.....injured....

At this moment, Kompany easily, Vidic has been out injured all season though. We'll have to see how good Vidic is next season, will be hard for him to be as good as he use to be though as injuries take their toll and vidic is getting on a bit now whereas kompany is younger. Colocconi is also a very good defender. I'd probably say the top 5 in the pl would be out of Kompany Vidic Colocconi Terry Kaboul Agger and Koscienly, I did rate Vermalen very highly but he has been very very poor the last month.

Also Antonio SkyLarker is right, Torres when playing for liverpool did use to make a mockery of Vidic, a big mockery at that. But saying that he did with a lot of defenders when playing for liverpool

 

Vidic. The guy who rarely plays.

Kompany, Richards, Cole and Skrtel have all been excellent this year. Few others I've know doubt missed too.

 

Thats because he's out injured,yes i agree at the moment it is Kompany who is the best but thats ebcause the best is out injured, when Vidic's fit he is the best, what im seeing Scouser's here, did that skylarker kid called back ups or something
