Arsenal, not good enough, simple as that.

Today was our 4th consecutive game without victory, that alone is bad enough, what makes it all the more bad is that these were must win games, these were the games that really mattered, and as usual, we have managed to completely bottle everything. There's no point on good runs when you end up screwing it all up like we have managed to do.

Even if we somehow manage to end 4th or 3rd next week, it will be pure luck on our side, simple as that, we are now basically relying on OTHER TEAMS to save our asses. We have seen bad results after bad results this season, 10 losses, a terrible defensive record, which was on display again today with 3 conceded goals (we could have easily conceded 5 or 6 goals today in our own bloody ground.)

If the blinker brigade had any decency in them they too would put their hands up and admit we are looking weak and not good enough, but I won't hold my breath, after all, these are the same folks who've been defending Ramsey all season, oh do tell me how he did today as well?

I've said it before, and I will say it again, I cannot wait until this dreadful season is over, even ending in the top 4 will not be something to be massively proud of as we have been quite rubbish this season, 10 losses in a league is enough to silent the blinker brigade who I suspect will come here making excuses saying ohhh but we have a chance still of ending in the top 4 bla bla bla, REAL FANS will know that even a top 4 finish won't mask the major deficiencies and weakness' this team have. Big big improvements are needed and if anyone thinks we are currently good enough for challenging next year are ****ing idiots.

  2. You basically hit the nail on the head - our club (from the manager down) have no character. They are weak and bottlers to the core.

Same thing happens every year, not sure really whether we should even be upset by it now. it was only hope that made us think we wouldn't completely choke in the run in.

Shameful gutless performance from Wenger downwards. I can't remember being so angry and frustrated. Spurs Newcastle and Chelsea can all catch us and to be honest I hope they do. Olympic standard bottlers and I don't care what anyone says there are at least 5 players who are not good enough, including Ramsey and Gervinho.

Some of us have been saying basically the same thing all season only to be shouted down by the Wenger Knows Best crew. Where are they now?

But that's the point, that's how sh!t we are we need other results to go our way, that's not good enough, it shouldn't have even come down to the last game, we should've beaten Wigan and Norwich, and Chelsea were there for the taking on the day we play them, but we blew it, 4 games without a win at this stage of the season, basically you're last 5 games, is not good enough at all.

Our Feb/March meltdown was delayed. Must be global warming- can't be Wenger. So it was an April shower, and May be our CL failure?

You can't continue to think you have a god given right to be in the champions league. Lets face it the Man City takeover changed the league just like when it happened at Chelsea. All clubs look at fixtures and think they should have won them.

You're missing the point completely, if we had played well all season and had finished 5th, there would be few complaints. The fact is, we have been poor and we have let games slip away from us. This is not a superiority complex. Our team, on paper, should be challenging for the title but when it comes down to the crunch we are gutless.

You must be talking about toilet paper, because you have to be ****ting me?!

Arsenal have exactly feck all depth. Take out Van Persie and you wouldn't have a goal threat, so what kind of Jack Sparrow suit is going to make your weaklings into world-beaters?

As an outsider who genuinely enjoys Arsenal's "brand" of football, it's been sad to see the decline, but decline it has been. The Arsenal of two seasons ago, nevermind the many before that, would have hammered this glorified bunch. Every season you sell a good-player, your squads technical ability is diluted and it's readily obvious.

Don't get me wrong, I would have a couple of your players for Newcastle... Van Persie, Vermy, Sagna and Chamberlain. That number, which would have been more like 9/10 a few seasons ago, should tell you your team isn't capable of winning the league, if nothing else does.

I think your keeper is massively overrated, followed by the majority of your midfield, while your attacking options are just woeful. The fact you will probably finish above us and 16 other teams you should take as a miracle. A major overhaul is needed, in my opinion. Podolski is the start!

Agreed! How many points have you tallied over the last five games? Not good enough... and now its out of your control.

I fail to see how you can complain about poor results but not see that it is the fault of the players, the majority of them are nowhere near good enough to be in a title-challenging side, if it weren't for Van Persie you'd be fighting relegation. RVP, Song, Arteta, Sagna and Vermaelen are your best players and they could be title challengers, the rest of your squad reeks of mediocrity compared with that of a few seasons ago. How many of your current team would get into the invincibles team? I'd stop at Van Persie and Sagna. Arsene was moronic to let the likes of Toure, Gilberto and Vieira go when he did.

Our first 11 isn't good enough, our 2nd 11 isn't good enough. Simple as that. WE should be competing, had the fukwits at Arsenal not allowed our quality to erode and had they bought players suitable for the English league. I am NOT impressed with ANY of the teams above us who are ALL beatable.

God help you, Arsenal87, if your club some day becomes a mid-table side again. The pain of being the third or fourth best team in the country seems to be getting to you a bit too much. If you were ninth or tenth best you'd have to be kept away from sharp objects.

I'm QPR but your point remains valid. I'm not saying you should have the same expectations as a QPR, Norwich, Watford or Accrington Stanley fan. What I'm saying is that this mentality that having a period of minor underachievement is an unmitigated disaster is wrong. Football is cyclical and you have to stick with it however bad it gets. It's also unrealistic for a club even of Arsenal's size and history to expect everlasting success. United are probably the only team big enough to expect a title challenge year in year out and even that will surely stop for a bit when Ferguson goes. Top four or five with the odd cup win and occasional title challenges should be accepted as the right level in my view. The problem comes, in my experience, from fans that have only known the Wenger years thinking Arsenal's natural position is a bit higher than it really is.

    Love that math.

Cause if RVP wasn't there we'd play with 10 men and wouldn't have any CF, right?

I suppose Real and Barca would be mid-table teams without Ronaldo and Messi as well?

    Mug...
