Congratulations to Chelsea. The best team won on the day. Not good enough from us - too little, too late. Decent play from Carroll, though. Now we need to win our remaining league games and focus on starting next season well. We can't be as bad as this year. Onwards and upwards, LFC. YNWA
To be honest I'm just glad we didn't limp to a lame 2-0 defeat and a complete nothing performance, which is certainly what we were doing in the first 60 mins
Awful first 60 minutes, brilliant 30 minutes. Shame Carroll didn't start as Chelsea had no idea how to handle him. Did the ball cross the line.... I'm not sure was 50-50 but it was a lot closer than Chelsea's effort against Spurs in the semi. Hey ho... was obviously Chelsea's year with the luck they got. Think game showss how much we missed Lucas as well. We need another solid CM to play as Spearing is a squad player but not a 1st team player.
i dont think there ws much between the teams..so i dont go by the 'best team won' lark...unlucky today...Drogba needs to be shot for real so that he can appeciate having legs...kunt of a man......best game ive seen Carroll have..he changed it..unlucky..and if you had the ref we had in the semi..then he would have probably awarded you 2 goals for that Carroll header...unlucky and good luck for yoour remaining fixtures.
Carroll was our best player today, and he only played the last 20mins. Showing signs of improvement, but we still need a goalscorer Midfield was poor today, nothing linking Suarez with the defence. Attacking midfielder a must in the summer as well as proper wingers.
I thought it was great that at 2-1 down with 5 minutes to go, all you can hear is YNWA where as Chelsea fans were just sitting there in silence. Only after the whistle did they wave their plastic flags (free handout as they can't create at atmopshere without them?) May have been awful but one things for sure, Liverpool fans really do know how to get behind their team. Makes me proud to be a red.
Our momentum went with the disappointment of the Carroll was it/ want it incident. It seemed to take all our energy.
Unlucky lads, Chelsea were the better team for for most the game and you only started to play after 60 minutes. Massive well done to the linesman on getting that decision right.
