Another dreary final - just brightened up with Chelsea scoring. I just cannot get excited by a FA Cup final played on the same day as league matches being played and kicking off at 17.15 - another example of the FA killing every tradition in our game.
I know the feeling, but im home alone, spent 2.5hrs doing uni work, emptied the bins and there is nothing else on. So why not? It is football of sorts.
The game has died right down now. Chelsea looking like they are willing to sit back and keep possession, Liverpool unable to get any of the ball. and as i write that Kalou almost breaks into the box.
HT in a very very dull and quiet final. Liverpool looking as if they have given up on the season and Chelsea not wanting to risk being caught out.
What's with that Southgate advert? I "get" it, but with the possible exception of Tim Henman he's the most vanilla sportsperson and pundit this country has ever produced. I don't think scoring that penalty or even England winning Euro '96 would've made any difference whatsoever. Plenty of people respect what he's achieved, but I doubt anyone has ever or would have ever dreamt of being more like Gareth.
Drogba has made it 2-0 but i missed it as i made a cup of tea. Slips it though Skertel's legs and slides it into the far post.
Drogba was playing relatively well, but judging by his reaction he'll need his leg amputated after that "clash" with Suarez.
