AFC v Norwich - the ref today may well have cost us 3rd spot!

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, May 5, 2012.

  1. The ref at that game, today, has been absolutely shocking. Norwich were denied two clear penalties, and AFC should be down to 9 men. Instead, and because of the ref's incompetence, AFC look like they are going to go on and win that match.

    It's an utter disgrace!

I really do hope that Harry/Levy, as well as Pardew, complain bitterly to both the FA and to the Referees Association.

They were exceptionally lucky today, by all accounts.
    Should've lost that one.

It's all in our own hands now, so we need to step up, forget about our dire form during the whole England fiasco and win our last two games.
All down to the final day now, no matter what happens.

yes they should have lost but "lucky arsenal" would have still won, they have been riding their luck while we have gone on a dire run and now its our chance to have the last laugh, arry and the lads just dont let us down!

Good to see the Whinger taking things so well. NOT!!

AFC are still two points ahead of us, so we have to win at Villa in order to go above them. If AFC had lost today (which they should have done, but for the ref's incompetence), we could have drawn with Villa to go level with AFC, with the hope of beating Fulham at home by the goals needed to go above AFC on goal difference, even if AFC managed to beat WBA.

Please engage your brain before making banal attacks on me <ok>

And we do seem to have recovered our Mojo, so feeling a lot more positive.
Surely the guys can put in two 'intense' performances at this stage.

Kyle Naughton's push on Van Persil in the box was great and the ref didn't give the pen. Made my day!

  12. This couldn't have come at a better time, too. What with Harry having failed to get the England job and having to work double-time to win back the respect of his board, the players, and us fans, he will use every ounce of that legendary man-manage magic to get our boys in supreme arse-ripping mode!

  13. Where's PESKIE (or his obnoxious forum alter ego) when the rank and file goonlets need him?

He's needed on suicide-watch, over on the Gooner board. It's getting pretty bleak over there.

    Again!
    <laugh>

Honestly, you've all got to go and take a look. It's pure comedy gold, all over again! They're all calling for Whinger to be sacked.

    Again.

Attacks? A bit strong. Take a chill pill. The ref hasn't possibly cost us 3rd in any way shape or form as your thread suggests, that's my point. Arsenal drew. They were winning and blew it. As it stands, we can get third by ourselves. We don't need any referee to help us in matches we can't control. It's up to us if we mess it up or not. Third place is either won or lost on 38 games over a whole season. Not one game. Fact.

  17. Welcome!

I liked the way you wound the Gooners up with your sharp comments.

They were all very cocky when they thought the had sealed the win, and then became very humourless when you pulled back a brilliant equaliser.

This is unreal, we can actually lose to Citeh and still have a chance of 3rrr or 4th on the final day. Nobody even the idiot pundits etc that have written us off all season can do so now! surly. I hate Aresene Wenger and Van Persie so I'm hoping West Brom can deliver the bastards into the europa league on final day.

  19. I'm hoping they finish 4th and then watch in horror as the Chavs beat Bayern, consigning them to Thursday night misery. If that could happen, I would mind if either you or us finished 3rd, although I'd prefer us to finish 3rd, naturally.

Imagine the misery that would be heaped on the Gooners! I'd laugh my cock off!

Cheers for Naughton btw, what a player. If we can't buy him we'll have him back on loan again next season. surely that benefits everyone
