UEFA will being starting to quake at the likely prospect of FFP being referred to the EU Commission as they are probably in conflict with EU Competition Policy. Perhaps the only saving grace for UEFA is that there will be more clubs trying to trim their squads than go out on a spending spree this Summer. However, if City or PSG or Chelsea do decide to splash the cash then whilst they may be referred I can well see a diplomatic compromise being eased out of UEFA.

Doesn#t fit in with the bitter reality City have a better squad and are top of the league, when chelsea were top it was all again about buying th eleague, now city are buying united's league, it is uniteds and the prem gets bought every year united dont win it, blackburn bought it chelsea bought it and if city win it they bought it. Only arsenal didnt

All this FFP bull**** is driven by one thing, City are competing with United on the pitch.

They are well beyond our debt, they best hope they dont ever annoy their owner and he calls it in. They would be gone.

Risky game city are playing, success at any cost, even the club itself. Desperate.

FFP was brought in exclusively for clubs like City. Are you trying to tell me the worlds second biggest football governing body hasnt checked every possible loophole and done all the checks to make sure its rules are its rules and cannot be challenged by any none sporting court. What are City going to do? Uefa set the rules not them, they will be laughed at of any court everytime. Why do you think Chelsea are trying really hard to comply.

City are **** all as a club, Uefa wont have any trouble putting them in their place. Real Madrid might be able to push their luck but even then, unlikely.

Uefa have made it clear they will take action against any club who flouts these rules, to doubt the have it in them to ban clubs is insane. They do it all the time ffs. Courts dont seem to overturn them either funnily enough.

Yeh that might be because Blackburn, Chelsea and City did buy it. Liverpool tried to and failed so badly it almost cost you your club.

The bst bit is the club whos suffered most from Citys buying of the league is Liverpool, no longer top 4, no longer a major side in this day and age. You pay stupid fees for awful players trying to keep up with the big boys but all i does is further hamper your club. Then some of you start backing City as if they are doing it for you hahahahahaha,

Pathetic some of you, really you are. FFP is Liverpools chance to get back up the top end of things.

It saddens me to think how a once great club has fallen so far. Banking on City to win, you would celebrate it like you had on it aswell, thats the best bit ha.

Try to keep up dave <ok>

UEFA already have a policy that clubs in administration due to their losses can't participate in Europe (vis a vis Rangers and Portsmouth). The FFP policy is just a stronger version of the existing policy. If that policy had been flawed then Pompey and Rangers would have already challenged it.

In fact, if anything the FFP regs are likely to support EU regulations on state aid (as per the above statement) and market abuse. If Tesco started a fast food company and subsidised it from their profits so it could sell burgers at 25% of the price of everyone else the EC would be on them like a shot. There's no tangible difference between that example and Abramovich or Mansour buying a football club and subsidising it from their oil company profits so it can pay players twice as much as most other clubs. But that's another boring debate entirely ;)

    SSSSSKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome back mate <ok>

Big opportunity for Newcastle to take third spot now :)

The main culprit seems to be Jayram. He calls for Wenger to go whenever Arsenal lose.
