Of course you'd be gutted, but seriously, you'll probably get like 40-50 million for him. You can buy a quality striker and Hazard for that amount. You'll not get someone as good as RVP, but you can get someone that can score 20-25 goals plus get a better winger. Personally, I think if you want to solidify your 3rd place or challenge for the title again, you need a better winger. Gervinho and Walcott are fast as **** but they're not THAT good. You could use someone like Ben Arfa but maybe a bit better like Hazard. Losing RVP could give you the cash you need to really push on. With your team atm the moment, you'll never challenge for the title and you'll be relying on RVP again. Also the thing with RVP, he's not that quick, he's average in the air. You could do with a quicker striker and one that can break at speed with Walcott ect. Well, we lost Fabregas and Nasri and didn't really find great replacements for them, so yes I guess it does matter if we lose RVP. None of the striker suggestions you've made would be willing to join us tbh and I have a feeling that if we got a bid accepted for Hazard then Madrid/Barca would come in and he'd probably prefer to go to them. Also, if we lost RVP, I have a bad feeling we'd just use Podolski and not sign another striker. So yeah, if he goes in summer, I have serious worries for our team next year .
