    ...that he'll stick around..

Sunderland striker Stephane Sessegnon would snub any interest from Tottenham to stay at the Stadium of Light.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will have to strengthen his frontline over the summer as first choice striker Emmanuel Adabayor looks likely to be heading back to Manchester City after his loan spell.

Sessegnon appeared to fit the bill following reports that he was homesick but, even though his wife and five children have returned to Paris to live, the Benin international says he is happy and is not ready to move away from Wearside just yet.

"I've got no problem with life here and it's always good news to hear that the manager wants to keep you," said Sessegnon, who cost £6m when he joined from PSG in January last year.

"I'm aware of the speculation, but I can't do anything about it. As I've said before, I don't feel that my work here is finished.

"It's true that when I first came here, it was hard to get used to the style of play. But now I like the Premier League and I think I have improved.

"I'm playing for a team who like to play football, with great fans."

This is everywhere, and as i adore our number 28, i'm taking this as gospel fact that he's staying!

Great news and if we can get a couple of additions in the summer to join him up front then i think we might be in fior a treat next season. We haven't seen the best of him yet, there's more to come for sure.

    Definitely agree mate!

Direct quotes 'unfinished business, want to stay' he'll be here i'm sure.

None of this 'well I like it here but you never know in football' bollocks, a straight out 'I want to stay'.

That'll do me, I love the lad he is ****ing excellent.

He is the lynchpin to our whole forward line, i cant see how we could function without him over any long term peroid of games, and players like him dont grow on trees!

Would love to have seen him alongside Cisse or maybe even a Defoe type player. Still think we haven't seen his best yet like.

Looking good, money probably not a factor either seeing as he took a pay-cut to come here.
