Park, Jenks, Merte - bought to appease critics - when he could have used the combined cost to buy quality.
Can't understand why he hasn't been given a chance on the left. He scored a great goal in the CC early in the season, but since then he's been totally overlooked. Baffling . . .
I am not sure that rotating the team is the issue - it used to be that a settled team was what everyone said helped win championships. Now the fad is to rotate. I dont think rotation is good for the team, or the individual players. Rotating who you use as subs is more beneficial in my view. What he should have done with Park, is give him far more game time in the CC and FA Cup to see if he could push for a place in the first team. He should also have had more subs appearances ahead of Chamakh in my view, and played 15 or so PL games from the bench.
