If Barmby still goes then I'd prefer PB to some of the other names mentioned. I'd still much rather Barmby stayed though.
His time at Preston was almost identical to his time here, only over a shorter period: had an indifferent start, but the fans kept faith, went on a brilliant run to the point that he was the new messiah and then everything turned to ****, they got on his back and he was sacked.
You forget the very public fallings out with players he previously relied heavily on. Phil and that Naughty Step....
This whole thread is making Percy well up with tears. He's now overjoyed that he has a new ally on this messageboard.
It's one of those that will split the fans and for that reason alone we shouldn't get him back. Also the fact he is not going to get our full backing, and the chances of him ruining the great memories we do have left despite his failings is quite likely. I love the man, yet hate him, yet i don't want him back. Leave him in the past as our most successful manager.
You dont deserve abuse Simply sympathy for even thinking such a move would be good. Get your nurse to increase the strength of your medication and intake levels and you shall soon forget all about him.
R.I.P. HULL CITY AFC if that happens,, imo. What a move that would be. League 1 here we come if it ever came to pass.
Is this for real 08-09 we won 8 games in the league all season only 3 at home also went 11 games without a win. 09-10 we won 5 games all season all at home and went a full season without an away win and matched the the season before 11 games without a win great times for our black and amber army.SHAKES HEAD any other manager would of been sacked first season FFS some on here wanted Barmbys head when he lost 5 games .
