So do I, for a few reasons, one of the main ones being the only thing he ever seems to have tweeted about is City, but since I only ever look at it when someone's posted a link on here it's probably not a surprise he's been talking about us when I look. There's also the account that first posted the link to it only having made a few posts about it and then disappearing, but they don't share an IP address with anyone on here. I've asked someone about it before though (as I'm not on Twitter), and if it's not him it means that either they've made a fake Carly Duffen account to go with it and they're much more convincing with that one, or they're convincing enough to trick the real Carly Duffen into thinking it's her dad.
Because I get news now and again. I have posted similar things in the past, perhaps I dont get as much regular news as OLM and the like but when I get it, its always right. I think the only time I was wrong was when I posted that Ash would never play again after his recurrence of the problem but that was the thought at the time and believe me I was so pleased to be proved wrong. Look, what do people think I did here? Make up that we've signed someone, talk about it for weeks and then desperately pray for something to happen - such as Nick get the sack - so Ive got a way out just in case it doesnt go through?
That's my thoughts on Twitter in general, so god knows how extreme you have to be to be a fake on it, but it happens.
Like I said I'm not having a go, I just wondered how the pre-contract thing works and I also wondered how you knew. According to Ricardo's link the pre-contract seems to be legally binding in only very few cases so presumably Jakupovic won't be coming unless Nick ends up staying. I can see why people follow celebrities on twitter and why some use it in a similar way to this kind of forum (for example OLM and TWF tweet under their forum names and it's all football stuff) but I don't see why any average civilian would have a personal account, as in one that isn't anonymous but under their real name and for all to see. Who is going to give a **** what you've got to say if you're just a normal guy? A few of my friends do it and I can't work it out.
I thought it was more definitive than that. If the agreement includes all the details of the contract they're going to sign then FIFA will enforce it or award compensation, if it doesn't then they won't. I couldn't be bothered to follow celebs either, you get too much personal crap that's just irrelevent to even being a fan of them. I think if I coulld be bothered I'd just use it to subscribe to companies (for offers), and probably City and say the BBC for any breaking news. I got to the same point with facebook though, I've not bothered going on since before Xmas.
My interest in celebrities is pretty limited in fairness, mainly just footballers in fact and that's shown in the people I follow. The best ones to follow are the fake footballers' ones for sheer entertainment.
The Queen's a great one to follow, always slagging off Nick Clegg, recommending to her subjects to stop work for a gin, when the weather's bad, she just tweets 'Reigning'. Elizabeth Windsor ‏ @Queen_UK Banging hangover. Someone get one an egg and soldiers. #notrealsoldiers Elizabeth Windsor ‏ @Queen_UK Mr Cameron on the phone. He's letting Mr Clegg stay up in his PJs to watch the London Mayor result. He's never been up this late before. Elizabeth Windsor ‏ @Queen_UK Ok, one's outta here. #ginoclock Elizabeth Windsor ‏ @Queen_UK Wales, your Queen is in you. #itspissingdown
I have an account, but without a clue what to really use it for!! That Queen twitter is a great shout OLM.
I got some inside infomation this morning. It's so exciting ! Seriously, I was talking to a very famous ex player. He knew before all this kicked off that the Allams wanted a premiership striker on loan in January. He quoted the Allams describing Barmby as a 'mouthy get', he wants Mick as the next manager.
That sounds likely, I just picture Assem calling someone a 'mouthy get'. None of our ex-players are close to the Allam's.
oh so your inside info is correct and everybody else's is wrong ? Yeah right ! I didn't say the player was close to the Allams, he was just talking to them.
Well given that its the only new titbit of rumor we have had for a while its welcome. I am getting impatient. Staying with the rumor and innuendo theme was the player-Waggy? If so he is not old!
No, the Mick as manager bit was only his opinion. Who he wanted. It was probably a one off conversation he had with the Allams. I don't know, maybe after the match or something. I know he doesn't go to many matches.
