lol nice. Arsenal are indeed well run with a good stadium. Pointless if its got no trophies in it. We're pants this year and still picked one up.
If we are nowhere near you then tell me why we beat you at your place and your own manager admitted that you were DOMINATED at ours!
Did you win it that year? interesting. I think you won the one we played our reserves every round in.
Actually Arsenal are more than well run, they are set up for the long term. They may not have any trophies in recent years but everywhere else they are only bettered by United. You could say they are future proof, maybe more so than United though you could argue that United make so much cash they are fine.
Arsenal - secure future with amongst the best foundations in world football. Self sufficient. United - Secure future with amongst the best foundations in world football. Massive revenue and profits even with large debt. City - Fully dependent on one man. No foundations, not self sufficient make massive losses. Chelsea - Were like City but at least trying to make it right. Potential to be self sufficient but need to increase revenues. Liverpool - On their way to stability, making the right moves but need a stadium or you really are going to struggle if your other rivals leave you behind in that area. I wouldnt laugh at Arsenal, they are probably the most secure of the big clubs ( United are but thye debt will always be a problem ).
Bayern Munich can laugh at Arsenal, though. Their profit is £40m a year higher than R Madrid's (though their revenue is less, their expenditure is much less too.)
Well you'd better hope city throw it away over the next couple of games otherwise utd will win exactly the same as arsenal this season.
Really? Here's the Arsenal team(plus subs)that Birmingham put to bed in the final. [h=3]Arsenal[/h] 53 Szczesny 03 Sagna 06 Koscielnyyellow card 20 Djourou 22 Clichyyellow card 07 Rosicky 08 Nasri 17 A Song 19 Wilshere 23 Arshavin (Chamakh 77) 10 Van Persie (Bendtner 69) [h=4]Substitutes[/h] 01 Almunia, 18 Squillaci, 27 Eboue, 28 Gibbs, 15 Denilson, 29 Chamakh, 52 Bendtner
Apart from City, obviously. But I suppose they're not a top club are they? Tell me, what is the point in being the 'most well run' and making lots of money year on year and not actually winning anything? You don't get a prize simply for existing. 'Remember Arsenal? They were well run, weren't they?'
Without winning titles and trophies, their mere good housekeeping is pointless. Every club needs to expand both its fan and awareness base globally if it is to increase its revenues. From Europe both Liverpool and Ajax have a firm grip on the 'history' theme. Barcelona and Real on the 'luxury' theme. United on the ' we are United' theme. That leaves Arsenal struggling to compete with the Italian giants and City for new customers. That's not a cheap pop at Arsenal.
It would appear we're working on that...http://www.sport360.com/article/qatari-ruling-family-talks-chelsea-over-investment?
