As we're not going anywhere with the Barmby situation until a decision is made by him or the club, depending on what's going on, we might as well try to look at something else for a bit. Given the reductions on the home kit I think it's safe to assume we'll have a completely new one next season for what will most likely be adidas' last year with us. The away kit I'm not sure about, they reduced them, but not by very much which suggests it could be kept. It's been quite popular so they might keep it, maybe with the addition of extra sponsors (you can have front, back and shorts all sponsored). What do you want for next season? I think I'd go with: Home - plain amber with black for the adidas stripes and hopefully not much more trim. Away - either a reverse of the home kit (I've seen Chelsea and Real Madrid both supplied with plain black with orange trim that have looked really good so amber should as well), or just keep this season's.
There's still the debate about whether the Allams might follow the Egyptian government's lead: http://www.bdsmovement.net/2012/egypt-to-boycott-pro-israel-adidas-kit-manufacturer-8921
Just to mix things up a bit and keep the debate going, I'm going to claim that the new kit is stripes. Black and white stripes...
I believe new home shirt will out in June and the away shirt will be July and the current blue one will be the 3rd kit next year hence why its not on sale now
We could have as many kit sponsors as we can fit on there, couldn't we? I'd pretty much agree with Ricardo's suggestions for kits, we haven't had a plain one in a while (and the last one was that weird pinstripe thing from the second PL year so not even really plain) and I don't mind the current away kit, I like the sound of the black one you've suggested and I also like the white ones we've had in recent years. Win.
As premiertiger mentioned that the new home kit will be plain, how about this design (in our colours, obviously)? http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/swansea-city-12-13-adidas-away-football-shirt-b.jpg or http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/bayern-munich-12-13-adidas-away-football-shirt-c.jpg On the other hand, if we were to go with stripes again, what about? http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/ac-milan-12-13-adidas-home-football-shirt-a.jpg
I do wonder why we piss about with changing the home shirt drastically every season... other teams manage to stay true to their "original" home kit and still manage to get a good return in sales, why cant we ? end of the day we are the Tigers, known for being black & amber stripes. not a bloody awful orange colour on a plain shirt.. why not just borrow blackpool's shirt from last season and iron on a tiger badge...
Surely it's more traditional for us to keep alternating between stripes and plain, considering we've been doing it for a long time.
